I stayed in a hotel yesterday and connected to the hotel wifi, and when I arrived home last night, my laptop would not connect for a few seconds, then disconnected. It was driving me crazy. All my other laptops were fine, so I knew it was something to do with the hotel's wifi connection. Luckily I found this video, and resetting the DNS did the trick. Thank you so much!

I can see all the available nearby Wi-Fi services including mine. I have used this key on numerous devices without any issues. However the troubleshooter suggested, "it might be a driver issue." According to the Device Manager description, it is a "Intel (R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168." Any suggestions?

Also : Check in Device Manager if WIFI or bluetooth adapter is working properly (click properties). If it says disconnected, the WIFI and Bluetooth icons will be missing from network notification window. Do a hard power on reset ( disconnect ac power adapter. Press and hold power button for 20 sec. Restart laptop normally).

I'm a pretty old man but have been using computers since way before MS-DOS and I'd like to ask anyone who has the slightest care for a old combat veteran (DAV). Why would 2 different laptops loose their WIFI connection but show my printer only without my router. My desktop didn't loose it's WIFI connection or a half dozen smartphones. both laptops are 17" HP laptops with under 1 hour of use. I've tried following this video and either I can't find all the options or it's just too much and too fast. I'll end up just giving the laptops away and sticking to my 2 desktops. I must have 10 grand in laptops and tablets and why is this happening.
