Must be confusing for the kid, he had parents (and they weren't even the ones who abducted him) and probably had a good life. This is more than likely confusing and hard for him.

I too would have liked to see more of the reunion or just a narration of what happened after that initial meeting. it was disappointing not to learn more, but maybe there is more in the movie they made although probably not in English.

Absolutely god awful editing. You build up to a climax and it falls flat.
