Games physics can't simulate the torque converter , only transmission gears . I believe you could make a mode for it , but it would be a whole new mod only for one car , but im kinda impressed how they tried to make the gear ratios longer

Because EA literally can't, as the licenses expired years ago, meaning they literally don't have the rights to release any update to the game that involves the cars, which a remaster would need to do because of better quality textures, models, sounds, etc.
