    On the comment about pausing the vod, I just want to say I really appreciate every time you pause and talk about the current situation! I'm here to learn and understand different decision making, not necessarily to watch a tuber.

    I think the reasoning for JG is that since you already have jeweled lotus, JG is giving an extra 10% crit. JG also gives more AP, which Lilia is lacking somewhat with that build.

    Yeah I love how you break down each position in the early game, so much of how your whole game goes is determined in your first 5 rounds. Keep up the good work!

      Yeah watching that 5 streak was so interesting. Top players play in a way that is so much more flexible than I’m used to seeing, even in diamond.

    JG is always better over guardbreaker always take in consideration the sample size
    GB - 0.09 - 2.7k games
    JG - 0.05 - 13k games
    JG having that delta with 5x more games on gb says it all.

      You can't use sample size like this, only tell how confident you can be in the other statistics.
      Having a high sample size, we can be confident that jg has a 'true' delta close to -0.05, while a smaller sample size for guardbreaker means only that its 'true' delta might be further away from -0.09.
      Jg might technically be the 'safer' slam is this regard, but you definitely cannot tell that it is better, and the stats suggest the opposite.
      Yes, there is a chance that the true guardbreaker delta is above -0.05, but that chance is going to be lower than 50%, while jg has a 50% chance of having a true delta above -0.05.
      In this case looking at the gamestate is going to be much more advantageous, especially considering how obviously conditional guardbreaker is compared to jg (which is reflected partially in playrate)

      ​@@JoshiIsAYoshi That's why between the 2 JG is much better because it's more "consistent" than GB which is a situational item and has higher sample size.
      I agree with your assessment regarding deltas but you're making it more unnecessarily complicated remember we are only comparing 2 items, if you ask majority of the pros which item is better we'll obviously get JG.
      And even if we take into consideration how deeply deltas work it doesn't change the fact that JG is still better overall.

      ​ @CertifiedDesign The stats do not tell us anything about consistency (at least these ones). If you're talking about in gameplay, then yes, JG is more consistent, but that does not mean it should be an 'always take' you should evaluate the gamestate.
      Again, sample size CANNOT tell you how good an item is. Really obvious examples would be something like blighting jewel toxin teemo, or blue buff adaptive helm syndra. If something is less built does not mean in any way that it is worse. You should not argue about anything inside the game based off of sample size. To determine consistency you would need to look at the standard deviation or distribution of placements, or perhaps even something as simple as win or top 4 rate.
      Additional explanations for a low sample size could include jg being a common slam, and guardbreaker often filling the same slot, and synergising well with lotus 3 which is normally best taken 3rd, as well as glove being more difficult to kill.
      I did not delve into how deltas work, as your misconception is about the significance of sample sizes. Perhaps I should have anticipated this issue and just talked about items being better or worse than suggested by the data but anyhow... if you asked decent players they would say that guardbraker is situationally better.
