- Hey Cruise World Crew! Maho Beach is one of our top things to dop when our ship calls on St. Maarten. You can grab a drink at the Sunset Bar, take a dip in the ocean, watch the airplanes fly right over your head, or better yet, do ALL OF THE ABOVE! Taxis' will take you roundtrip from the cruise port for just $16 per person (at the time this video was made) and drop you off right in between Maho Beach and Princess Julianna Airport. St. Maarten was our first port of call onboard the maiden voyage of Celebrity Ascent, and we knew exactly what we were going to do! Are you ready to visit Maho Beach?

We were actually only there a few hours. We looked at the arrivals beforehand, so we knew what time was best to be there. I really enjoyed the day…. It’s not for everyone, but we all had fun!
I’ve been here before, loved it. But surprised there has never been any accidents, mostly with the mountainous terrain being so close. If an engine failure occurred what would be done? Mountain closing in by the second, and higher AOA.
Yeah, that would not be good!
Can I ask how were you able to do both activities? Thru cruise tours or else. I’m going in August and want to plan this right away! 👍
We have been to Maho Beach a few times and always enjoy the day. Though there are some cruise ship excursions that will include a stop at Maho Beach, we prefer to go on our own so we aren’t rushed. Just go to the taxi area at the port for round trip transportation to Maho for just $16 per person.
Maho beach looks pretty cool what's one place we want to get to visit.
