I was there with my daughter!!! I first saw Mary J. Blige in 1992 at the forum in LA, when she and TLC opened up for Bobby Brown. I was in 9th grade at the time. To see her again and share that moment with my daughter was amazing. My daughter still talks about how I lost my mind yelling when she came out.
Absolutely! Everything Taylor has done has been a step up so the reputation tour stepped up and then the Eras Tour, but the 1989 tour still holds up as such an epic performance. Would love to see that on here, even if it was broken up into three or four videos, but this 4K version in the link shows the concert, and that shows all kinds of various artist collaboration. She did on different nights of the tour like this one with Mary J. Blige. This is a fantastic performance. She does out of the woods live and an epic performance of enchanted mashed up with Wildest Dreams and so many more epic performances ruclips.net/video/P5JLMp08GC0/видео.htmlsi=DkOLkA4IHdrYBnZC
Taylor shows such a beautiful and deserved respect towards Mary J. Blige. She doesn’t try to be the center of attention yet allows Mary to shine and she takes in the love that her audience is showing Mary. Taylor even turned her microphone lower so Mary could be heard more than Taylor. I was blown away by seeing Taylor in awe of having Mary on stage with her. I really loved this. Taylor really loves bringing other artists up. Look what she did for Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams by opening up the Era’s Tours for her. Now they’re both nominated for awards and are doing great. Taylor is so real and talented enough to not be afraid to help others. So rare, but really amazing. It also works the other way, it says a lot about Taylor’s character and talent for Mary to agree to sing with her. Love love love. ❤️
The way I see it is, If you're not prepared to give anyone a chance, don't be surprised if no one ever gives you one. You mention this quite a lot Kellz, and that's why we or the swifties keep coming back to your channel. Because you yourself are also relatable.
This Taylor and Mary J Blige performance is so great... Mary's song, Doubt, has an incredible message. Very pleased that Taylor gave Mary, this platform to reach a wider audience. Love this!!! Could you do a reaction to Wildest Dreams, as it is one of my favorite songs and video's by anyone! The music and cinematography are incredible!
Great reaction. I loved the pep talk. Thank you. Taylor and Mary J sounded so good together. Taylor had at least one special guest on stage at almost every concert stop of her 1989 tour.
I’m pretty sure they do another song after this that’s really good too. This tour she had SO many! I love the Brian Adam’s one. You should def watch more of them.
It can be easy for us to lose sight or forget, when awe struck by Taylor’s masterclass artistry and the unparalleled stardom it has garnered, that first and foremost, she is a human being. As otherworldly as it may seem, she experiences and combats the same inner issues we all do and some on levels we will never face. Yet she remains grateful, humble, vulnerable and relatable. Her willingness to admit and share her fragility, fears and insecurities inspires and enables others to feel safe in doing the same. Her warm-hearted authenticity and ability to navigate her fame without compromising her humanity are demonstrative of the characteristics I admire most in her. She is arguably this generation’s epitome of fame, fortune and success, but her legacy will not merely encompass her stats or iconic music but her unwavering kindness and integrity…and to quote her own lyrics in ‘Maroon’~ “that’s a real fucking legacy to leave.” 💛
Another beautiful reaction from you! In the last year, watching Taylor has been a fun distraction… And in the last couple of months it has been a necessary distraction. Thank you for your thoughtful, genuine reaction.🫶
Thank you for reacting to this. This is such a fabulous performance and for Taylor to have the great Mary J on stage with her is the ultimate respect! ❤❤Stay safe
