Still in isolation, so here is another demo of another one of my guitars - Prince Cloud guitar.
As usual, the sounds come curtesy of the Line6 helix.

Me and my mum are a huge fan of prince and i jokingly said that i’d buy this guitar so we could put it up in our living room where we’re building a shrine-like tribute to Prince.
What a brilliant musician he was, i’m still blown away by his talents on guitar.
Well, initially I came for the guitar but I lost sight of it when I heard your awesome sound and then your playing. Damn! Cheers!

Prince is one of my favourite guitarists cause he played everything with everybody.
Seeing stuff lately that says there's going to be a competition Build Off between Crimson and Texas Toast guitars, fan of both and funnily enough Texas Toast have been building a (single) Cloud guitar for a long time (seems like a bit of a personal project not intended for production but cool).
Reckon they'll be putting the call out for judges for the comp and players for demos fairly soon so....

I'm a big Prince fan. I own two Clouds (Blue Angel * Yellow) and one Black Symbol. Love them! I'd like to know your sound set up cuz I seem to never be happy with my sound.

Hi Phil, spoke to you after Weston SM gig last year about Prince and you said you were going to get this guitar, look forward to seeing you play it at Yeovil gig later in the year :)
it really shouldn't be 3/4 size. I bet if you measure bridge to nut it you'll come to a fairly standard 24 3/4" (Gibson scale length). The horn makes it look smaller than it really is.
And Prince played Fender scale (25.5") guitars most of his life, and never a 3/4 scale.
hello I`am working on a cnc file could you give me some info on the neck nut width -- and the neck width at the neck pick up, and great demo. I made 2 of them for my step kids but they were not wright but looked good.
i build my own , with aproval from dave rusan himself , made it pearl white with all the exact hardware , dave even checked my drawings for accuracy , took me 2 monthes to build

@@DrLava-zx7hh I wouldn't bet on it. He's got a couple of real Gibsons in the background including a 15 grand Dave Grohl signature guitar...a Brian May Red special, a proper Gretsch etc. And it doesn't sound like shit. So, I don't think that's from AliBaba
@@wjazz1496 it is a cheap one , lots of givaways , for one the neck pickup is cut out on the wrong side , wrong tuners , the scroll cutting is compleetly difrent and so on !!
I have one of the Schecter ones myself in white. Absolutely love it. But this one is very nice and it sounds great! I thought it was a Schecter when I first saw it until you said it wasn't one. Can I ask where you got that one?

I got mine from eBay (risky I know) but I’ve got a feeling it’s originally from Icon Replica Guitars.
@@PhilWalkerGuitarist The Schecter is phenomenal and it feels great. I have the same issues with the 7th through 9th frets like you mentioned cause of the horn but other than that I love it. I've been burned by eBay before so I've stayed away. But your Cloud guitar is amazing and I'm glad you didn't have any issues with them. That paint job is crazy beautiful and the pickups sound great too! Josh Reubenking It did need a decent set up when I got it but it’s spot on now. I’ll head on over and take a look.
What pickup tone is that an EMG?
Website says it's an EMG 81 humbucker in the Bridge and an EMG SA single coil in the neck :)

@@popeye089 Technically they are all copies it's actually based off of a Sardonyx Bass and Dave is barred from making any more and the family awarded the license to Schecter

How is that kind of fret board? How long will it take to wear down and what will the result be with time?

Hi Charles, not sure what the wood is but the fretboard itself is painted in the same paint as the rest of the guitar. So far there is no sign of wear and as I only play the one song a night on it I would hope to get a few years out of it before it starts showing any wear. But if it was to show any wear I guess the first signs would be that it starts to dull and then eventually it would wear though the paint.

Duke Adler unfortunately I bought it from a private seller and the company that I think was producing them don’t seem to be there anymore. Maybe just keep your eyes open on the for sale/auction platforms.

How many companies make these? I saw one on eBay for around $300 by someone called Zuwei in China. Are they any good? I'm looking for one for a friend. I want it to be good but not a fortune. How do the replicas compare?
