I mean unquestionably good advice but I imagine for at least a few people reading this still a relatable moment. Maybe not with actual marriages but with how we simply go along with what life throws at us because actually expressing or acting on our own desires in social situations has just led to more misery so many times. We just begin irrationally choosing to always just go along with with what other people want in basically any social situation because we are so bad at knowing when its worth it to disagree.

@@TUNAdude13the thing is in it’s always sunny they often don’t backfire. They just get bored of it and move onto something else. They never really face repercussions for their actions - otherwise they’ll all be imprisoned or dead lol. In sunny the characters can go through an arc within the episode but at the end of the episode they are right back as to how they were originally with no development. Sort of a reset and mind wipe. Peep show is the same in that the characters don’t change but it’s more drawn out with ups and downs, glimmers of hope, opportunity and redemption. But alas it always crashes. In s1 ep1 mark and Jeremy are the same mark and Jeremy in the final scene of the show. Same outlook, same situation.
