This is Moroccan Almohad architecture developped during the Almohad epoca (12th century) and then exported to spain and some subsaharian countries.

المغاربة الموحدون هم من بنى الثلاثي الهندسي الرائع و المعروف وهم: جامع الخيرالدة التي حولها الاسبان الى كنيسة وشقيقة الخيرالدة مسجد الكتبية بمراكش و ثالث المباني الذي يوجد في الرباط وهو صومعة حسان الذي اريد له ان يكون جامع ذي منارة الا ان زلزالا ضرب الرباط اوقف بنائه ... جمال منظر صومعة حسان جعل الحس الفني للصانع المغربي يجعله ايقونة.

I read the book of the Spanish historian Basilio Babon Maldonado, who wrote that Andalusia was built by architects from Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh and Safi....indeed, Morocco is from the daughter of Andalusia....The Alhambra was built by the Moroccans. It is a copy of the Bouanania Madrasa in Fez Giralda. It was a copy of the Koutoubia Mosque.

Yes, I agree, this is a special place. But the video actually doesn’t do it justice. This mosque is spectacular. If you watch the video with the volume down, you will find it different, but still amazing. A quiet amazing, but still amazing.
