Nah, seriously, their reaction is how just about every Brit of a certain age reacts to this song (and especially Londoners). It's impossible not to bop and join in tbh.
You have just ventured into the world of Jungle music.
This sound evolved in the UK in the warehouse raves of the early 90's after taking dancehall, reggae, breakbeats, hip hop and becoming its own beast. It would spawn into the more widely known genre of Drum & Bass that still heavily thrives today both in the underground and mainstream scenes.
Jungle music is still a staple today though, as you mention, the high energy and vibes it brings just make it perfect for clubs, carnivals and parties.
There's a long list of DJ's, producers and artists that you can fall into the rabbit hole of but some of the old school ones to have a look for are Fabio, Grooverider, DJ Hype, Goldie, Slipmatt, EZ Rollers.
If you find that you have a taste for this type of music than definitely check out some Drum & Bass after, especially when it comes to DnB MC's (Harry Shotta, Skibadee, Ragga Twins). There is a great Fire in the Booth DnB special worth a watch.

In the 90s and 2000s this English music was big in the rave scene in the US. Warehouses and big speakers. By the end of the 2000s and into the 2010s it went away and was replaced by louder more aggressive soulless versions of this music.
Another great example of this type of music from that era is Original Nuttah by UK Apache and Shy Fx

This was 🔥 then and still fills any dancefloor hear in the UK. There's only 1 Gen-er'al. I'll never forget the hype in the club, jungle room, this would play, dance floor full up, lighters out, your enemies didn't exist when this tune played. Never get old❤

We’d have our little crew copying, making up dance moves and generally loving this vibe, then we’d go to car cruises with it booming out of our sound systems!! Uk jungle was and still is awesome!! Look up Ronnie size, the prodigy, shy fx there are tonnes of others etc. The UK vocal garage was my absolute fave!! The energy even now of those times and music influence was wonderful ❤
