Nice kit. There are a couple things I could upgrade in mine. My side cuts are trash and the soldering iron sounds great. I've been using a cheap USB iron. I rarely pull out the AC iron now.
Fill any voids with different gauge wire. I carry a 'budi' usb-c adapter kit with slots for micro SD cards and sims. Complements my pi zero w and esp32 that's 433mhz capable (replaces most rf remotes)
I've made usb C PD adapter for my ts100, It's the best soldering iron I could ever get. And I have soldering station which I stopped using because of ts100.
Are there any videos I can find of these EDC-like tools actually being used for anything common? The YT algorithm just gives me tons of “here’s gear I have, please click the affiliate link.”
Where are you going where you just need this stuff on you? I always thought most of the "hacking" hardware gets done in someone's garage with a full setup.
I notice you called that polypropylene baggie, or ziplock bag, a .... "dime bag"? What is the meaning of this? 🤔 why do you call it such a thing 🤪😂 Cool video man 👍💯
@@Glytch I don't know if anyone makes a modern equivalent, but I've always been a fan of Radio Shack's pocket meters, such as the 22-820. It may not be quite small enough for your purposes, but it's worth a look.
I use a 4 way screwdriver that cost $3 20 years ago, 20 year old snap-on wire cutter. Well in short I bought quality tools that cost me less than Glytch's Kit. Save your money and buy quality
Well you gotta keep in mind that prices for stuff today is 57.8% (Cumulative rate of inflation) higher than it was 20 years ago. Just 1 pair of Snap-On flush cutters goes for over $70!!! I prefer to leave those with most of my super noice tools in my big Mac tools chest! I am pretty confident I've saved my money by not losing all my nice stuff or even worse losing my vintage(almost impossible to replace stuff) 👍🏼🤠🤷hahaha😅 Nothing wrong with some cheaper stuff as long as the price is right, feels solid enough & gets the job done just the same 👍🏼
Your 4-way is a few bits short of Glytch's capabilities, and side cutters are one of those items where I like to have a nice set and a beater set. His recommendation is one that you wouldn't cry over losing. Actually, that's an unsung part of this kit - if you built the same kit with a Pinecil instead of the TS80, and a manual screwdriver, you could replace the entire thing for well under $100 if the mindless drones at the TSA steal it. That said, I agree with the "buy once, cry once," premise for "serious work" and enjoy looking for deals on the secondary market.
from experience.... you may want to make sure you keep super glue in a ziplock bag
Can zip-ties save me from a cliffhanger? Cause thats where you left us with the life saving remark 😁
Okay I'm asking about the fence cutting and the zip ties that are life savers just out of curiosity
Well once you have cut the fence panel and entered, the zip ties hold it together so the roaming patrol doesn't see it open lol
I have all those tools, now I found a great way to carry them around. Thanks.
Deep in the heart of Texas. Nice kit too! Hak5 should just sell complete ones for us lazy folks...lol
nah, better if u know ur craft enough to know what to get for yourself. too many script kiddies in the field making a bad name.

What's up James! Just checking out the channel.
@@hoppskippity This is good channel. Hopefully see you tomorrow on one of the lives.
Glad you finally got the video out! Not sure if you're on business or pleasure, but certainly hope you enjoy the trip!
I suggest the PINECIL as a soldering iron, way cheaper yet functional
I carry the bash bunny mark II and Panda PAU06 WiFi adapter and wow it is a lifesaver at work sometimes and other circumstances.

You forgot the arduino and the serial dongle in the notes too!

I'll need to check out that soldering iron you showed because I've been using a cheap one that causes me anxiety every time I have to work on a board.
Maybe some short cables with crocodile clips on the end for shorting connections out too.
I didn't see a mention of a small torch in your kit Twitch?
"The cicadas"

Ooo might get that screw driver just for the led lights on it lol.

Thanks man! I’m definitely going to pick up the electric screwdriver
Has all of Glytch's social media been taken down?! None of the links work. Well, Twitter and Instagram don't.
Is the new wrap bag version (02:02min) listed in the onlineshop?
I could do a similar video when I go through 10 massive storage boxes! What, no takers?

Would be weird to see the plane just disappear off of SDR signal.
Is that a 3D printer in an Airbnb? :)
OMG.... please don't hack me from your mom's kitchen AKA "an air bnb" hahaha...;)
Lol heat shrink in a dime bag.
Another glytch video means I need to stock up on tissues at the end of the week again..
I wanna see his drone
You won't 🙃
His drone will see you

Why tf is glytxh such a big deal?
I dunno, I've heard of him, I've never heard of you. He's doing cool stuff on YT, just like thousands of other creators. What's your point?
He's a daywalker
Bc he's not a disrespectful twat for one. For two he's an OG at Hak5 and been an integral part of the hacking community
