Just came back from this walk last week. It was our 4th time in 15 years! Now, at age 87, we didn't do Wengen or Murren. Just happy to be able to walk the valley and take the bus back. Thanks for posting this wonderful video. Apart from everything else it allowed us to show our grandchildren why we love this part of the world. Incidentally, one year we walked it in early Spring -totally different because of the magnificent carpet of spring flowers.
Hi Frank, thanks so much for the comment. I’m so glad to hear that you have been there in person and this helps you share the experience with your family. Such a beautiful valley for sure. Keep on steppin’. - H
I'm one of those people who have health problems so I do not do the treadmill and I do not do the traveling you do the traveling for me and I just sit here and travel along with you in places I will never be able to go I'm so blessed to follow you thank you so much
Well, I'd have to agree with you. It's actually a pretty noisy valley/canyon with all the cars, helicopters, and people. It's still beautiful and, as you mention, the sound of rivers and waterfalls can drown out most of the rest. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Henry
Back in the 70 ties I saw a photo of the Lauterbrunnen Valley in the National Geographic magazine and told myself I want to go there. Finally was able to go there in 2015.....It's an amazingly beautiful area. I'll be back
My husband Dave and I have just joined you for your walk. It brought back many wonderful memories of holidaying in Switzerland when our children were young (they are all grown now and some have families of their own). In fact you walked past the campsite we stayed at, probably in 1990, thank you so much, we will join you again for another walk.
I'm currently in quarantine in the UK due to the current situation and found your video. I'm now in my living room getting some excercise and walking on the spot pretending I'm in the mountains! Thanks, you've saved me from going crazy! :)
Wow! This is very nice. I went to Switzerland last Sept 2017 but unable to came here. I like your videos coz I also loves walking while looking at the nature's scenery. Really, really love your videos. Thanks..
VIRTUAL JAPAN thanks. I’ve never been to Yosemite surprisingly enough by it definitely reminds me of the photos. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😀😀😀

You are doing a great service and job for myself and I'm sure others who are locked down at home, as we get to see and experience adventures through your eyes. Also helps in future planning of trips and to the times of year to visit my these places and trails. Beautiful 😇😇😇
Thank you very much for this content. I am trying to get on the treadmill more often and your videos make the time fly by! I appreciate the educational and descriptive commentary as well because it makes it seem as if I am on a walking holiday with a travel buddy. Please continue to make these videos. Thanks again!
mytoobnotyourtoob thank you so much for your kind words. So glad you were getting that exercise. I will definitely try to continue making these as long as people appreciate them. And find them valuable. Thanks so much for the comment. - Henry
I've walked that valley several times in the last few years and wow, you got "lucky" and had that helicopter just following you! It really can be sooo quiet there, really! :)
Breathtaking scenery! I wish you would have taken a few moments and stoped and showed us the little water ways...you know, the rivulets at the beginning, or at least at the end on the bridge. just walking straight ahead (mostly) gets boring with time...maybe next time :) please show us the stunning and interesting side at the sides, too :D THX
Love what you have done, a great help during Covid-19 lockdown. I enjoy both the scenic nature walks as well as the city ones. Pacing is just right. If I might suggest that making sure to research how names are pronounced might be a nice gesture of respect to the places you are helping us all to enjoy? Beyond that, thank you!
Listen, I LOVED the scenery and the walk was great but it would have been amazing if you would have paused to glance at the spectacular waterfalls as you passed them. I kept waiting for you to do so with each one you passed and thought, surely he will stop at the final one. Maybe in a future video could you incorporate more waterfall footage?
Noted! Thanks for the input. Always trying to make this channel better and hearing these types of constructive, gentle criticism is welcome. Thanks for watching and your support. -H
Thanks for the walk. Too bad no subtitles and difficult to hear comments with the noise of the helicopter or the river at the end of the ride. Finally it's still nice to get away by walking during this time of confinement. Questions : On what date did you film (Spring, end of summer)? At what altitude is this valley? What temperature in this valley surrounded by mountains?
I’ve watched three of yours now on my iPad while walking on the treadmill. They’re wonderful. Is there a way to stop about halfway and pick up where I left off tomorrow? I tried fast forward on yesterday’s video but it took me to another video. I can’t ever finish them at this point😂 That is not my profile you see. Not sure how that happened.
I believe that as long as you go back to the video while logged in as the same account, it will take you back to the place where you stopped. There may be a setting in RUclips for this. You will probably need to log into the correct profile first. Perhaps someone in your family is also using the device and switched accounts. Thanks so much for watching and I hope that tip helps. - H
That region looks like peace and tranquility, but those heli noises are absolutely annoying, especially with how the sound is reflected and itensified by the mountains. Actually i'm glad it's noisy or else i'd be very jealous of the people who live there or have a hotel room there 😝😁
Hi KR. As a visitor, I agree about the noise. I am sure the locals are happy to have easier access to the mountains for supplies and construction materials though. It truly is a beautiful location. Thanks so much for watching. - H.
Some lovely views that would make for lovely 1000 piece jigsaws. ps I have always found helicopter noise a bit scary and threatening - as if they are about to attack.
Lovely walk but had to turn the volume all the way down. Hope I didn’t miss any interesting commentary but the drone of the helicopter was like fingernails on a chalkboard!!
I knoooow, right? And it was like that almost all day everyday. It's how they move heavy equipment around. I was just a guest, so I tried not to complain, but it would have been so much more beautiful without that constant buzzying. -H
This is my dream retirement place... BTW I'm only 22 but I just want to live there now alone. I don't want my place rn, it's so noisy and lots of toxic people, it is so depressing.
Hi goldie, yes, the air is actually quite fresh. You can smell cows sometimes but mostly cut grass, the trees, the river and water when near the waterfalls or river. -H
Yeah, I try to strike a balance between useful and quiet but I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut sometimes. Thanks for the feedback and for watching - Henry
I had to turn the sound way down - I enjoy Henry’s talking, but those awful helicopters can spoil the walk. How can people stand to work, live, or walk with that constant noise!! Nice walk with the volume turned down.
