  • This video was originally released on VHS tape in 1992. I've had it for many years, but with the bankruptcy of LGB, I felt it would be good to put this here for other fans and enthusiasts to experience. It was recorded from my TV, so I sorry for the low quality, but it's the best I can do.

Cool camera work for such an old video. The interior shots of the models is amazing for the late 1990s.

ClearwaterMK2, not all American LGB Models were made in China. In the 1990's up until the early 2000, LGB North American models were made in Germany as well. Some models were made in China from the mid 2000s until the end of the LGB bankruptcy around 2006. To my knowledge, no LGB is made in China now.

I can confirm that, I have talked to an LGB club member who told me that LGB is now made in Hungary, using the same molds and equipment from the factory in Germany.

Interesting. Were the German-made LGB models of superior quality?

@@masonallenbuskirk5648 I like to think so. As funny as this sounds, the original German made LGB has a unique smell to it. The China made LGB did not have this plastic chemical smell. But, I also believe LGB had standards, and would not have accepted quality below a certain level.
