Zero volts before boot on DC power supply. Means no short on VCC Main. Low voltage on prompt to boot .004A. You're probably looking at a data line short. Inspect for bad caps, filters, etc. If not found use heat to find short. Spray with freeze spray or douse with alcohol. Connect to DC power supply. Prompt to boot, then carefully inspect. Watching for any area that bubbles or quickly evaporates. Once area is narrow down, check for line to ground across components. Use ZXW or other schematics to figure other components on bad. Test and replace. Phone fixed! Questions message me.

The screen was presumed bad as there was heavy corrosion on the connectors of the assembly, tried connecting it to itunes but it wasnt detected, also switching from ring to vibrate did not produce that vibration i'd expect with the phone on. Do you have any ideas on this? Does the phone need a working screen for it to turn on and be detected by itunes or is there something else going on? Ay 70ma it seems it's not getting full power somewhere. Thanks!
The current meter never indicated a normal boot cycle. Check to be sure that the IBATT lines are actually getting power FROM THE BATTERY.normal boot current will fluctuate between 150 ma and 1.2 amps during boot. Make sure your power supply is not in current limiting, that can cause the issues your are seeing.

I have one iphone 6 with no video problem but itunes is still detect it. I follow your video to check voltage and found out the PP1v2 is missing. the itunes detect my phone which means cpu, baseband, HDD are all still good? can you give me some advises so I can check it? thanks

I've an SE and I changed a U2/Tristar chip on it because the phone didn't charge up. After chip replacement the motherboard has PP_GPU and PP_CPU short. I used kapton tape to cover other parts and I used the hot air station on 350C. I think I did a good job but just in case I removed the IC (all pads look good) but the motherboard still has short circuit. The phone never had water damage. Can anyone tell me why has the phone short circuit and how can I fix it please? Thanks in advance. Anita
I can't remember. I think mine was under the power management chip. But it may have been 2 other caps that were also shorted and I think it ended up working. I apologize I can't remember.

Check usb DP+ & DP- to cpu. both will have same ohms. If ok then bad CPU.

check capacitors on near U2 .. one of this maybe short.. if its ok, you can check U2300 IC. if its get hot this maybe short

please check crack or short on c0634, c0633, c0604, c0614, c0613, c0602, c0623, c0611, c0609,c0622, c0610, if all is ok, you look at PMIC U1202
