Thanks for this, I was struggling to get the toner tray to release. Such a faff compared to my big ol' 4500, almost as though HP want you to sling it and buy a new printer... As an aside the printer I just checked didn't have a transfer belt issue after all. Black toner cartridge had a badly fitted plastic strip which was rubbing the imaging drum towards one end and streaking the print. Peeled, repositioned, fixed.
Great video, thank you . Does this transfer belt require any periodic cleaning or other maintenance? I have inherited responsibility for a CP2025 at our fire station and I am experiencing large areas of magenta tonor in my printed pages.
It doesn’t require periodic maintenance, but these printers are known to collect waste toner underneath the transfer belt. If you’ve just inherited this printer and are responsible for it, you might want to replace that magenta cartridge, pull the transfer belt, wipe it down with a dry towel or blow it off and vacuum out any toner that may be in the printer underneath the transfer belt.
