- It was a dreary, rainy, miserable day... so Sue and I decided to hit an antique shop. We ended up turning out some pretty good deals and finding a few unique treasures.

You should do a video on how fix and wire lamps. I would love to see that.
I'd love to see a video of how you pack lamps for shipping. That kind of things scares me off those type of items.
At 5:40 in the video, I spotted something that I've had all my life (family item). Two items down from the skull face that Jocelyn was holding, is a cute little ghost holding a little skull. He's molded plastic. I looked him up online & found same ghost on Ebay few yrs ago. Found out its from the 1960s. I remember my Mom always saying she got it at a nearby neighbor's (catty corner from us) garage sale-when I was really little. Its a cheap item, not worth much-but I've always Loved it!!! It lights up and blinks. Our didn't blink for years. One day at Halloween time, I dropped him. That night when lit up, he blinked again!!!! He's right next to the mannequin head that Sue looked at. I just got such a kick out of spotting him. The ghost in this store is considerably whiter than mine (unfortunately my Mom was a heavy smoker). But I still Love my little ghost; I'll never get rid of him.
Going back to old videos I missed. That wooly thing with legs! Oh my!
You ladies sound like my sister and I when we'd go shopping. We had so much fun.
Jocelyn, FYI. Any current US money bill is pretty much 6 by 2-1/2 inches. Works really well in a pinch when you need to get an average measurement, and if you fold the bill in halves it of course subtracts by half the original dimension. Just cool stuff to keep it in mind. 😉 I love your video's! You and Sue are the best! Happy hunting!
Hah! That's fantastic! Whenever I'm by myself and I come across the jadeite swirl bowls... I'm at such a loss... I don't know what to do.
So close Jocelyn but I was looking for a painting of Sonny Bono with a mountain lion, shucks.
Darn it... I will keep my eyes peeled. But when I find one... I'm holding you to that.
Lololol
You have the most beautiful skin and the dimples. My grandson has dimples, he is a cutie.
I love when you and Sue go shopping. What fun!
Sue and I have been doing this for years. I'm so glad I had the idea to branch out my youtube venue.
Durer's artwork is entitled "Young Hare". Hares have longer ears than rabbits. I've always loved that one!
Sue has so much knowledge it's impressive! I like your eye for items Jocelyn. I love scary, been throwing a Halloween party every year for the past 30 years. Everyone dresses up Too!
I learn something new from her every time we go out. Sue and I were just talking during this last outing. It's almost time to start searching for this year's halloween costume!
Great lesson on Jadette bowls.
Oh my God..I have a green bowl just like that from my Mother/Grandmother...And I'm 58....love it..Would love to have the whole set...ha
Sue carries a tape measure! And I thought I couldn’t love her any more than I already do!
Hahaha. She also carries 409 to test bakelite! Haha. And a bakelite to test alacite and uranium glass. We've put together the perfect picking toolkit.
@@CrazyLampLady Sounds like my Grandma's purse lol. She was a flea market reseller in retirement. I have a tape measure & magnet (for testing stainless) on my keychain because of her lol! Love your vids!
I love the Robert Frost quote tattoo. Very nice.
Love you Lamp Lady....and Sue, too!
You asked in one of your videos why people are all of a sudden coming on board with you and subscribing with you. Well my answer is I went to an antique video to learn more about antiques because I don’t know anything about them. I am a reseller I go to garage sales and thrift stores and sell on eBay but the one thing that I really don’t sell is antiques because I just don’t know enough about them. so you came up......i watched your videos. And I like your style and I like the fact that you’re a mom and I learn something every time I see your videos so thank you for that!
Love you and love Sue! You are a fount of information! Brilliant!
I've spent the last few days binge watching your videos! I'm hooked!.. best find on RUclips
Me too!
Love your channel so much! Thank you.. your beautiful family and your lovely friend Sue for bringing me so much joy. Delightful!!
I really love you and Sue, you both are great xxx
Thank-you, Carol!! :)
The two of y'all have so much fun!
CLL, I've said it before and must say it again, you are way too cool also you were so lucky to have Susan with all her knowledge helping you. Thanks, Sharon.
Thanks, Sharon! Sue is a very smart lady.
I love your giggle❣
I'm a metal detectorist too, but I'll have to say I love Crazy Lamp Lady.
Sue is no joke, she busted out the measuring tape lol.
i love this channel. i found ya a while back thrifting and then followed your digging channel now i go to both glad ya have this channel keep op the great post
Thanks, Mike!
Love the Old School Rock Music in the background.💖🎸🎵🎶
The Raven would be good for Edgar Allan Poe fans too! Dang NFS!
Just woke up. Have a night shift. Saw the notification and decided I needed some Crazy Lamp Lady and friend. :)
10:03 might be hexed. Be careful.
Haha. Ragnar Fuzzypants was left at the antique shop.
Hubs and I have been married soooo long, I think that legs thing would be a hilarious anniversary gift!!!
I love to watch you too, you always make me laugh,
@Crazy Lamp Lady have you ever picked up a piece what WAS haunted? Even if Ragnar Fuzzypants wasn't!
This made me laugh so hard my stitches hurt, but I don't care it was worth it.You two are so funny and you find the craziest yanniest things in those shops. I loved it! Just a shout to let you know the two t-shirts I ordered came today and are a delight. I love your relic recoverist T in summer weight cotton so much I got one in blue and in purple, Great color choices by the way. I do like bright colors. Thanks for so much laughter and fun and I hope your Etsy sale is a great one. Here I sit in my overstuffed recliner trying to be a health recoverist, and thankfully largely succeeding. One of your video's always helps. It so keeps my spirits up. Thanks a bunch girlfriend for everything!
I'm so glad you love the shirts! I just got my first shirt a few weeks ago. (Better late than never) And I'm so pleased with the quality. The company is doing a fantastic job and I don't even have to worry about shipping! It's fantastic! Haha.
FYI: The silver fade or silver ombre glassware have been coined as Dorothy Thorpe on several websites selling vintage barware. Although similar in style, Dorothy Thorpe glasses have banded silver tops. She never designed glassware with a silver fade design. The silver fade or silver ombre glasses are made by Vitreon Queen’s Lustreware, ltd.
Im going to see green glass bowls in my sleep tonight..lol
The raven is a Hallowe'en decoration. We sold them in the drugstore where I worked, so I have one!
Man I love Sue lol
A fellow Pennsylvanian. So nice to find your channel.
I always enjoy your lamp lady videos. My days of shopping for eBay are long gone as I downsized and semi-retired
Picking is fun, but I have way too many things. I need to sell more than I hoard. And balance is tough when you are a lover of old things.
@@CrazyLampLady wow this is a very first time you've ever replied to me. I would love your email address as I have two very old lamps that my great aunt gave me before she passed away 20 years ago. She was 96. Maybe you or Sue might know something about them they have an Asian influence. My email address is defleur1121@hotmail.com. I know you're busy but I don't know who else to ask
Love these videos, you and Sue always have me cracking up. I will be checking out your Etsy shop ☺️
I'm glad you enjoy the videos, Katie!
I love you guys! I just found your channel, and I'm watching while I list on eBay. Everyone should be as fortunate as to have a friend like Sue! The both of you keep my spirits up and keep me going! Thanks for your humor and positivity!
All lll I want that lamp!!!!!!!
I love watching you two together! You have so much fun! Don’t y’all want to come picking with me in Charleston?!
AD Great score! What an interesting frame safe.
I would love a set of Judith cups and saucers
Just love you two and your adventures:)
Thanks, Regina!
10:10 It’s a Chia pet! ( Joking).
Love your shopping videos. I've learned a lot watching them.
I'm so glad, Paula. We try to make them fun and a little educational. But mostly fun.
Forget the skull there’s a blow mold behind it!!! They are worth good money!
I love that dresser lion.
Hi I just found you channel, & just love you & sue, I typically sell jewelry & watch makeup zombie & also found Thelma, please continue to make more videos. I live in NYC & years ago I use to go to a place in Conn., but I don't know how to drive so I am just enjoying everything. Regards.
I'm catching up on all your past vlogs since finding you; But how many years combined experience do you ladies have? I can't Begin to match that!
That black Lion dresser valet could be McCoy and on eBay one was listed at 67.50. I didn’t see the original price, but you might want to consider purchasing next time ( if the price is right)!
This comment ^ is by Stephanie.
Your fuzzy pants statue was West African
Hi, great video as always. I also started filming in the second hand shops here in Finland. Can't really talk as people will think I am crazy talking alone and loud in a shop. Always better if you are two persons. Take care and please post more of these videos. Regards from Finland, Pascal
Bahaha. IT took me a while to get used to "talking to myself" in antique/thrift shops.
I watch you to see your smiling face. Just love your laugh. Your such a sweetheart.
I ficking WANT that bird. NOW
Can I please borrow Sue? She is The Bees Knees!! If you want to detect or pick in GA, I've got the 411 on many great spots! I actually live on Civil War Battlefield.
That's actually Queen's Lusterware, not Dorothy Thorpe. She only did silver bands.
Creepy Humpty was way creepier than skull..;) Great watch as always. ;) ATB
Hahaha. Yeah he is... For some reason, Juliette has moved him into the bathroom... and I'm not sure why... but now he lives in there.
I just saw that skull head on your Etsy store yesterday and I sent the link to my brother. Oh, the lamps were on your Etsy store also.
I have some of those skulls, they’re older Walmart outdoor decorations lol
I would love if you did a what sold on etsy video
Wow that was a good video learned a lot . ❤️ love you to together funny . ❤️
I'm glad we're not the only ones who think we're funny.
Love these videos. I have learned so much from both of you!
Thank-you for the encouragement. It means so much! I really do enjoy making these videos. Sometimes it's so hard juggling both channels, but it's worth it.
I have to disagree on the Dresser valet Lion, he is highly desirable.
the dresser caddy is worth right around 12 bucks
You need a tape tattoo on your hand that way you can measure anytime. But your Mr might not like that idea! Lol 😆
It’s also nice that y’all care enough about antiques enough to put them in a safer place on the shelf even though it’s not your stuff. It’s the respect for them in general that speaks here. Awesome fun video girls. Thanks
I like the way you think! Maybe that'll be my next tattoo!
I loved this video! Loved seeing Sue and the fuzy pants comment, I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants! Sue you look like you're loosing weight.😂😂😂😘
I tell Sue all the time she needs to get on here and respond to all her doting fans. Haha. She makes the best comments and half the time I don't even have the camera rolling. I'm like... "Sue... can you repeat that, please?"
I swear that thing was in the Beatles movie Dr. Pepper's Lonley Hearts Club Band.
Just found your Channel today you guys are pretty cool I love this kind of stuff and I will be truthful the only reason I subscribed is because you guys showed jadeite that is absolutely my favorite thing in the whole world
I love jadeite too!!! Let's be friends. :) Thanks for the sub!
Did you see the MacIntosh cooler that was like the one you found in Barbie house?
i think its a crow not a raven but what do i know im just a baltimore-ron , but still so awesome and it would do okay here in Baltimore or a great holloween decoration
one of these days i gota send ya a video or some picks of this huge antic place down the road a bit from my house it huge over 300 venders and its in an old huge home its 4 storys in all the basement the first floor the upstairs and a attic all open to the public
That sounds AMMMMMMAZING.
10:03 looks really weird looking. I wouldn't purchase that. Sue... You are a gem. Love you and Jocelyn's videos!!!
Best Miss Piggy I've ever seen :)
Bahaha. I think I might buy her for Sue for Christmas.
4:50 Sorry to tell that raven was for sale someone slapped that NFS sticker on and came back later and bought it LOL! , not saying I ever done that but "alls fair in love and way!
Y'all are so awesome! Y'all make me smile.
Hi Jocelyn, how do you ship lamps with shades? I sold my first lamp and the shade arrived to the buyer damaged. Thanks for the vids they have upped my picking game .
I won't sell sets anymore because "shoppers" swap pieces around, even from other booths. Downside of trying to sell antiques and collectibles.
Really?? That's crazy! I've never sold in a booth before, so I didn't even realize that was a thing. That sounds horrible!
what does the average midcent lamp with shade cost to ship a pair? And do lamps sell good without shades? As I theorize the added large dimensions of the shade or shades would run up shipping cost. It may be more economical for a buyer to source shades locally. Now in the case of the pair of lamps in this video. I would guess that those matching shades would add value to those rare lamps. .
That was a creepy skeleton...lol
another great video! just wondering...how in the world do you ship those lamps?
I have a cup, that has a mark on the bottom of either Chinese or Japan writing. I wonder how much? I don't know how to find a price for it.
Because Martha Stewart loves jadeite so much, it was made again not to long ago. So if it looks too new, it maybe. I have a piece of carnival glass in the same shape as the jadeite, second size down. Pirex is one of my favorite things to collect too. I was an antique dealer too. It was lotts of fun but l never made money. I kept buying too much stuff. Good luck with sales!!!🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
I didn't know that about Martha Stewart. I do know that she's not a very nice lady. I know a few people who have worked with her. She's a nasty woman. I love pyrex! It's a shame the prices have come down so much. I used to buy the cinderella mixing bowls at salvation army and sell them for a song on ebay. The amish butternut show up there all the time! I still find them occasionally, but there isn't much room for profit anymore. The gap is closing. :(
@@CrazyLampLady l agree the prices aren't great, but you work your behind off. Sue is great too. Ceramics are what collect, McCoy, Roseville, and Hull ect! I even have a McCoy Boot Lamp. A chalkware Vense lamp also found it's way to my house, someone colored it with crayon. So l painted over the crayon with glitter nail polish! It does look good. I remember when depression glass was so popular! Oh well the whims of the market! Thanks for sharing your Martha Stewart story, and it's like everything is a reissue today. Have fun shopping!🙈🙉🙊🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇
Would Rose Medallion plant pots with matching saucers be worth anything?
I just noticed Sue's hair looks kinda like yours with alot less color! N skull is cool and cheap ! What a bargain lol looks like a coconut voodoo dude!
She was so bummed. She wanted it to be much more vibrant.
Don’t you take off the sticker to make sure no chips underneath.
18:10 Hahahaha!!😂😂😂😂
Are you sure it's not Buffy San Marie (sic) ?
Do you answer comments still from your old videos? I’m new to your videos and I was just wondering if you get these comments still if I had a question
Hi, do you ship to Canada? I would love to have the brothel lady pig close to the end of the video? Is the anyway you could let me know? Thank you.
Do you still have the rose medallion?
If you watch your video, that 2nd jadeite bowl looked slightly off color and had a thinner rim... I think that's not a perfect set?
It's possible that one is older/newer. I didn't look to close at them once I realized that they were all mis-combobbled and ridiculously overpriced.
framed painting with secret compartment to hide your more valuable painting
The pricing in Texas is outrageous compared to where ever you are. I'd be a shopaholic
I always like to see how prices fluctuate when we travel.
What the what that should go home with you don’t forget Mr fuzzy pants
so uh....that little stuffed alligator still there? cause I might need to get that for my own shop lol
also, can I ask for a price on those flower plates on the shelf below the overpriced jadeite?
Guys I think the girl in these videos looks a lot like the woman who runs the Relic Recoverist channel...what do you think?
Ha Ha, she is a multi talented person.
Hmmmm... I think you might be right... Very suspicious.
Nah, just ambitious. You need to be these days, this is the hand we are given in life, we need to make it the best we can for our selves and our families and make it a better place for those we can. Off my soap box.
Sue is a treasure !!! That tip about running your finger around the rim of a plate instead of just letting eyes find chips is priceless and has saved me a boat load already.
