How to renew your French Student Visa | International students in FRANCE - Indian in France

- Hey guys, so in this video I have discussed about how to renew France Student Visa in detail. This is general for all the International Students who are in France and are thinking what, how and when should you start the France Student Renewal visa procedure.
First year Student visa renewal in France is very easy and simple. Just follow this video and check the links here, that is more than enough.
STEP 1:
Book an appointment MINIMUM 3 months BEFORE your visa expires. (You can ask your university if they can help with visa renewal).
For people staying in the 93 department, Bobigny, Rosny-sous-bois, Drancy, Le Bourget, etc..
Sous-Préfecture du Raincy / Prendre un rendez-vous / Accueil - Les services de l'État en Seine-Saint-Denis
(navigate and record the screen until booking rdv)
STEP 2:
Once you get your appointment date, make sure to have all these documents ready (carry 2 copies at least)
- Valid passport or national ID card
- 3 passport pictures: 3.5cm x 4.5cm
- Valid passport (photocopy of your information page, your visa, and entry stamps)
- Bring your birth certificate, with a certified French translation (take help from Campus France).
- Your latest residence permit (titre de séjour)
- Documents of your residence proof in France (these should be less than 3 months old)
- Electricity bill / EDF bill
- Payment receipts from your landlord (usually called as quittance de loyer)
- Your housing contract along.
- If you’re being housed by someone: (colocation)
1. Attestation d’hébergement.
2. The person’s ID (French national ID or titre de séjour)
3. Electricity or Gas bill
- Proof of studies
- Certificate of pre-enrollment
- Certificate of enrollment
- Proof of resources
- Sworn statement declaring that you have enough resources for yourself and your family, if applicable.
- If you are a scholar: certificate of scholarship with the exact amount, duration, the scholarship, and the nature of the studies, with the official stamp of the organization or the scholarship provider.
- If someone is sponsoring you, sponsorship letter from them, 3 years ITR, last 3 months bank statements
- And lastly, proof of health insurance coverage (Securite sociale - must be validated) (www.ameli.fr)
STEP 3:
There are 2 options in this step and it depends on your prefecture, accepting physical appointments or online.
Two options:
- You go to your appointment, and you provide them with all the documents. The person shall interview you.
- Submit all the documents online (link for online registration

STEP 4:
Some prefectures
(Specially mine Le Raincy, sends a message that your card is ready, and then we have to go and collect our card on that day at that particular time, and DON’T BE LATE PLEASE)
Go back to the préfecture to get your new card!

@@MadhveeJha hi. While renewing, I already have the requisite amount of 12 x 615 + Fees for the second year available in my French local bank account. Already transferred by parents. So, is it adequate enough to get a attestation from my French bank confirming the bank balance? Or again need a fresh sponsorship letter from parents?

Hi Madhvee. Thanks for the video. Couple of questions though. First, I have been India for about 5 months (ain 2 different trips). So does that make a difference?
Second, for the financial details, in case we have French bank account, can we provide one month statement and what is the total amount we need to show?
Third, since I live in an accommodation, it is not have any proof of the owner. I do have the edf though. Is it sufficient?

Trips to India does not make difference.
Regarding Bank statements, you have to give for the last 3 months, which should show minimum of 615€ per month as an income.
And lastly, the préfecture will ask for the identity card of your owner, just EDF bill will not be helpful.
@@MadhveeJha Hello Madhvee. Thank you for the reply. It us really helpful. Just one query regarding the account statement where you mentioned 615e per month. Since I am a student, I do not have a regular income. So if I deposit the 1845e (equivalent to 3 months requirement) in one go, will it be acceptable? You should have an "attestation d'hebergement".

For APS renewal you should be in France as far as I know.
Could I show my caf. Income to as financial source in the case of renewal of my student visa?
No, you cannot. The monthly expense which we need to show for visa renewal is 615€.
Caf will not cover this amount.

You can show funds in your Indian bank account. You will have to also show the ITR for previous 3 years.
Hi my first year renewal is in process, how long does it take to get the permit upon acceptance? Majorily planning to travel to Malaysia in this semester break, as no passport stamping is done for this renewal can I use permit to re-enter the country or have to make any other applications. For visa renewal, you need to show funds in French bank account

You can show funds in French bank account, but make sure that you have justification of those funds.
Renewal of student visa depends on préfecture. Many of them now have online process but some needs you to submit documents physically.

Hey Madhvee. I have a question. I am in India. My french student Visa has expired. But I have the certificate of visa renewal. Could I travel back to France with this attestation or should I re-apply my Visa?
Check the date, normally with the visa retour you can come.
