Steve and Bucky is by far my favorite friendship in the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. I just love how loyal Steve was to Bucky. Despite the things that Bucky did as the Winter Soldier, Steve sacrifices his life, his friendship with Tony, the unity of the Avengers, and his Shield to hold on the only thing from his past - Bucky. Besides Peggy, Bucky is the most important person to Steve and he was not going to let him go. He made sure to fight for what was right.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about the ending for Bucky. I was so happy with the ending for Steve because he finally got his dance, but it was at the cost of his brotherhood with Bucky. Maybe if Bucky got the shield I would have been more satisfied?! I don't know, especially because I know Bucky would like to stop fighting. Either way, I hope his story gets a proper ending in his new, upcoming series in the next few years.

Hurts even more when you realize that Steve really didn't stay with Bucky until the end of the line.
I thinks that's the part of Endgame that I hated the most, it ruined the whole narrative if them never leaving the other behind, no matter what
I refuse to accept endgame as cannon, it was so out of character for Steve and I get the feeling Peggy would've had some words about Steve's choice as well

I have watched all of the mcu movies no less than average 5 times each and I’ve repeated TWS most. I won’t think I’ll feel that much emotions actually but I was on verge of tears watching this. Thank you. ...heart aches for Bucky again

This is so beautiful!! A perfect look at their story, you captured the yearning and the years between them so well
Don't think I've ever shed this many tears watching a Bucky edit. The thing that really gets me is you capture something about Bucky that often gets overlooked. Part of why he's so slow to remember or admit that he remembers Steve is he's afraid of remembering who he was, and then coming to terms with what he's become. He'd rather stick to the safety of apathy and mindlessness than have to THINK. To feel guilt again. To "remember all of them."

For anyone who's mad at Cap for leaving Bucky:
I am utterly convinced that Bucky made Steve promise to go back to Peggy. "Go, you idiot. It's what you deserve, man. Get outta here. I'll be fine without you." And even if it broke his heart and he was lying through his teeth, you know that's the kind of friend Bucky is. He would rather die than let his relationship with Cap ruin Steve's last chance to go back to the girl he's always regretted not being with. He would've argued with Cap all night if that was what it took to convince his best friend that it was time to go back, the war was won, the universe's biggest threat was dead, and it was time to go back to his girl who loved and missed him.
"Besides, me and Sam are buds now."
And I'll bet you that when Cap passed that shield to Sam it was like saying, "Thanks for being Bucky's friend. He needs a friend. Take good care of him. Be his shield from now on."
P.s. If you watch the interviews where Seb and Mackie are hanging out. They are HILARIOUS. Best brotp. Honestly I feel like they have even better chemistry than Chris and Seb did. My heart is as broken as yours that Cap left Bucky, but I think the Falcon and Winter Soldier show is going to be almost or just as good as Cap and Bucky's relationship was.
I can´t get over the end of Endgame but your comment makes so much sense... you are right, Bucky would tell him to stay with Peggy. And the winter soldier and the falcon is something I´m looking forward to because Seb and Mackie get along so well and Bucky and Sam gonna have that too

I know people probably don’t find it to be a big thing, but the word is not “till,” it’s “to”.
This is a quote. Which means it should be word for word. Plus, saying “till” gives it less of an impact, where as the word “to” gives it more of a journey sense.
What People fail to grasp is that 'the end of the line' doesn't have to mean death it could be the end of a journey.
