Bernie Leadon wasn't a problem, Randy Meisner wasn't a problem, Don Felder wasn't a problem...Glenn Frey was the problem. He pushed all 3 of those guys out of the band in my opinion.

Henley and Frey seem to want everything their way. Frey said he was drinking, so that was his problem, plus whatever drugs they were doing. Plus, Henley and Frey had big egos. Hard to watch any interview with them in it.

If you're going to get that worked up over disrespecting a politician, then you're the problem.
Cranston turned out to corrupt in the end.

LOL in hindsight...Glen looked like a idiot. Corrupt politician helped Glen break up the Eagles. The 80s could have been incredible.

Frey and Henly had a penchant for booking the band for benefit concerts that suited their own interests. Maybe Felder's political leanings were different if so I can see why he would chafe at his talents being co-opted that way.
No Felder no Hotel California song for the band - a song that completely changed the financial status of every single band member.

This is what gets me about this Frey/Felder explosion. These 2 guys should have treated each other like brothers. They were all part of something so special. So Frey lets his gigantic ego destroy his friendship with Felder and holds on to all that hate for the rest of his life. When you're on your deathbed and getting ready to check out all the money in the world means nothing.Friends and family is where it's at.RIP Glenn

You’re right about that, and I do have a copy of Don Fielder’s book Heaven and Hell, My Life In The Eagles 1974-2001, it was very good to read!!!

This was a documentary made nearly 30 years later, and judging from the demeanor of Frey and Felder, someone never resolved his need to control.

Glen and Henley started to destroy the Eagles. So stupid, they both went for the money. They lost their best musicians!! If they had a friendly behavior and respected each eachother, Eagles would be the greatest of all time. They were in the beginning, but Glenn and Henley became big a**holes. They always were liars.

Henley and Frey thought it was ALL about THEM because they contributed more to the songwriting. They either forgot or didn't understand that small amounts of other ingredients make the dish better. They were more concerned with every dollar that they could get. They were a better band with Felder and they were better with Meisner. They needlessly degraded the quality of the band because they were sociopaths. It's a shame. As good as Henley and Frey were, the others made them better. A sociopath doesn't understand that because their thoughts are dedicated to their own aggrandizement. A lot of good things get ruined that way.
