I was waiting for reviews of the melt liquid eyeshadows. I've been on the fence. Ive got the entire smoke sessions 2 collection. My daughter got it for my birthday. I love it! I really like your final eyelook.
I’m so glad I watched this! Going to wait on those bases. I’ve actually been trying the Danessa Myricks blurring balm powder in translucent as an eye primer and it’s the ONLY thing that has held my shimmers alllll day lately 💪
I haven't watched her in years and I don't mean to be rude but she still hasn't gotten better at applying shadows. Her bronzer is too severe as well, she doesn't have a light hand and kind of throws makeup whatever it lands on her face. I watched the owner put these on like butter, and a light hand is the trick.
I really like the color combo on your eye look (and the earrings are *chef kiss*). Really strange about the melt liquid shadow because others seem to like it, but assuming everyone are saying their true thoughts, it could be 1) everyone puts on shadows differently or 2) it just isn't the product for you! I definitely feel that way about a few popular products! I also agree with you that she's in parties in a much more versatile with its depth than the smoke session 2. Thanks for another awesome review!
Just starting the video and super excited ❤ when you said you grabbed these eyeshadow bases I have been patiently waiting to hear what you think before I decide to buy!
The look turned out really pretty, and your earrings were just perfect! In my opinion white bases are handy when applying pastel mattes but other than that not worth the hassle! I find them tricky to work with and I’ve tried 3 different brands, the results are the same.
Hi Karen - your look is beautiful! That was quite a journey to get there. lol - Have you tried the Bright lashes, half lash? I love those lashes! Angela Bright makes excellent lashes. Btw, I am so happy you tested this palette, I love the She’s in Parties.
Maybe the Melt would work better as a base if applied sheerly? The way the shadow went on patchy, like sticking in some places and then not at all in other places, makes me think that maybe some spots didn't set down well because they were too thick? Just my guess as someone with the too much gene and is always starting over because I went in heavy handed😂. But, if it just doesn't work for you, I really like the Jason Wu white shadow primer! It is super pigmented and I really only need the teensiest bot to get a good base for pastels.
Oh Karen , today is one of those days for me. Lunch break can't come fast enough to race home and redo it all. I was looking to buy the white and black base now rethinking that.
I got dreamland too and I'm returning it because I can't see anything on my cheeks and I don't like to spend 5mins trying to see color from my blush. I was originally going to get thrill but felt it looked more pink than orange in reviews.
I'm not feeling this palette 😞, for myself that is. You look great in those lashes it pulled the look together, thanks for sharing Karen have a great day. 😊
I feel your pain ,you have a plan ,you trust the process and the process failed 😭 it's ok you are washable! I have hooded lids and get that splotchy outer corner and hope the folds cover it up! Thanks for a great video I may wait for a great sale and pick up the palette as purple is my favorite color and I like Melt cosmetics usually.
Even though it gave you a hard time, these colors are really beautiful on you! 💜

Girl, you went ham into that eyeshadow right off the bat, that was not an eyeshadow/primer issue, that was a technique error issue.

I agree a light lavender would have been perfect in the Smoke Sessions II but I pull out my Wicked Widow Lovestruck palette out to use.

This palette was lackluster and I knew I was being a fool to purchase it especially at full price. After two uses, it went into the bad bin.
Ohh wow ! Your not wrong 😂
You might have put on too much primer. Less is more maybe?
You did a good job.👏🏻
I will try again… I’m just scared atm 😂
You used that base incorrectly Karen…that’s all 🤷🏽♂️
☔️
How did I miss this???😳😳
