    Been to Mull 5 times since 2014,going again in june 2023,i haven't been to the weavers yet or the museum so need to do that.

    I was once told that one of the Beaton/Bethune medical fraternity had a physic garden in Bunessan. I know there is a memorial to the family not far away. I would like to know if is true, as I am a descendant, as is this person. Quite famous in China:

      Thanks for this - that's very interesting. My understanding is that the Beaton doctors were based at Pennyghael, a few miles east of Bunessan, and it is there that the memorial is. It was at Pennyghael that the Beatons had their physic garden in the 16th century, where they grew their herbs.
