Ciri has three endings depending on how you play Witcher 3 - She either dies, becomes the empress of Nilfgaard, or becomes a witcher depending on how fatherly you treat and support her. Becoming a witcher is what she wanted, so I'm not sure why so many people are upset by it. >.>
Mioni's story is metaphorical with Ciri's She too went happily to sacrifice herself for her village (the world) But now she realises she would rather save herself and all of humanity is monstrous It is a message from the developers that the older fans would be happy if she just went to the Gods, but she will live and tell her own story
I'm glad that a lot of people are coming out with positive opinions about it! Honestly it only makes sense that she will be the main character. Also it doesn't take that much thinking to understand why she might do something like this considering she never liked the elder blood to begin with and this doesn't really break her character or lore.(Despite what some people think it doesn't actually say that women can't be witchers all it says that there hasn't been one we don't know if they ever tried, or if they did try what would be the rate of success plus she is way more powerful than any other character so she would have a higher chance of surviving then probably anyone mutating people is not based on gender)
No i do not think this breaks lore at all. She spent years training under yennefer and geralt and being on her own. She wanted away from the sperm donor father and to be with her actual family (geralt and yennefer) Hahaha. Even her going through the actual mutation doesn't break lore. Now i think we may see yennefer and geralt being hesitant on letting her go through the mutation. But ciri going to do it anyway.
I don't think she looks ugly but I do think she looks different, and if she has gone through the trial of grasses like the devs said she has then that does make sense, your body changes quite a bit when you experience extreme stress and or trauma.
Lore this lore that. Her witcher eyes are green, not the traditional orange. I think she's been experimenting with mages possibly Yen and Triss to genetically modify the mutagens and turned herself into a witcher. It's doesn't take away from her elder blood storyline. After the white frost she might have even lost the powers the blood gave her. Just let people enjoy stuff 😭
I get why people are upset with this trailer and called Ciri ugly. Which she isn’t ugly, but from what I understand they felt like it was jarring seeing Ciri the way she does in the W4. Her face is completely different & it’s not better graphics or age. This is a cosmetic surgery face. Her lips have filler her cheekbones and facial structure is more rounded and her nose is different. Who made Ciri definitely only saw the character once and then made her. The voice was the biggest issue for me though when I saw the trailer and heard her for the first time I cringed. They need someone who sounds like Ciri. Maybe it will grow on me, but this is like the Rick and Morty VA scenario all over again. She doesn’t sound like Ciri she sounds like someone completely new. Those are the minor gripes. I’m pretty skeptical of the Witcher 4 from what I’ve seen so far. I also have no idea why they made her a Witcher, but if the explanation is good enough I can get past it.
@ It’s alright tbh I just wish they went the route of magic with Ciri. Also I like the idea of Witchers being only men, but if this is the direction they are going I hope Ciri is the only woman Witcher. I also hope they add more spells.
I’m not playing this game. They break lore, story, and continuity. Do I love Ciri? Yes but do I think she should be a Witcher? Heck no. She is her own character and doesn’t need to be a Witcher to be a good protagonist. It legit makes me annoyed how they are going to throw away such a good character by making her a Witcher.
Have you read the books? Played the games? If you have, you will notice that Ciri is the perfect choice. She is a witcher, was trained as a witcher, and is referred to as a witcher in the books and games. If you are talking about breaking lore, the entire game series wouldn’t make sense, since Geralt died in the books.
If you think this breaks the Lord you need to reread the lore there's nothing about it that says a woman can't be a witcher The Lord says that there hasn't been a woman witcher but doesn't go into details into why outside of man being generally stronger than women. However ciri is far stronger than the average man so this wouldn't break the lore. So stop trying to find a reason to be a hater
@@Outright__she probably did it because she never liked her fate it's clear in both the books and the games that she would rather not have those powers at all.
@@DwillGame idk how people think she’d sideline her elden blood. Everything in the books to the games showed she wanted to be independent, not get rid of her powers. The possibilities with how she approaches her prophecy and killing monsters is the most interesting plot? Geralt constantly has thought about being ordinary, not cuz the story is clearly going to end up w him getting rid of his mutations; but to add depth.
She was 21 in witcher 3. The developers says this is several yrs later. So, it's possible she is in her early 30s since they didn't give a number of how many yrs have passed.
extremely excited i play through three at least once a year
It's been awhile since I played the games and now I feel like doing it again. Lol

there are two kinds of monsters. the ones you fight with silver and the ones you fight with steel.
Facts
I wonder if it will lead to her own Butcher of Blaviken moment
There is a good chance of that! But this time it will be up to the players!

Title: what happened to Ciri?
Me: I'll tell ya what happened, she grew up and glowed up
100% haha. I'm excited for this!

Becoming a witcher was the best ending for her in Witcher 3. Canonically, that seems to be the ending they're running with.

I dont care about ciri being the protag, but my ciri became empress, how is the game going to account for that I wonder.
I think they will incorporate it. They did with witcher 2 and witcher 3.
Hello 👋

@@OrbinHD So the elder blood, her family heritage, elf world and her prophecy is less relevant than hunting monsters?

Its lame, totally ruined the lore
To me this feels like a feminist fanfic
She has the BOTOX look....ughhhhh 😢
Grandma ciri
Right? She looks so much older now lol.
@ maybe she’s supposed to be more experienced so they aged her up
I believe that is what it is as well. Also since she went through the trial and mutated her body im sure that was part of it.
She looks 39 at best, wdym "Grandma" 🤨
