Those 16340 are very good quality. They work in any 16340 flashlight, i just checked. I think the vice-versa its also true. The only thing to be considered: be careful where you charge them. Also, you made me curious so i inserted one of my 4 custom Olight 21700 into a Nitecore BR25- it works. After all the Minus pole is on the tail and in front center is the Plus. I know you said only custom work in Baton4, but if you swap on Olight custom you can use in anything else, mitigating your problem.
Why did they change the tint ?, this one is too greenish, the Baton 3 was better, I don't know if it's a flaw in mine, but I've always appreciated Olight for the white light but I don't like this one.
My 5yr old Olight S1 Mini baton has high CRI 90, charges via USB & can take new & primary CR123's and is smaller. It stops me upgrading my EDC to these new models. (Solid review as always tho)
Love it. The OLIGHT UI has always been the best imo and the S1R was the first tiny light I bought, if I remember correctly. The beam isn't as linear, tint wise, as other Olights, but the beam is brighter with slightly better tuning.
Buy the Sofirn SC21. Anduril II capable and charges by USB C cable. If it were not for the stupid magnetic charging cable, Olight would be tops. WHY did they make it that people need to carry TWO charging cables? USB and their proprietary cable? AND they made some of the newer models with the magnetic charging cable being non-compatible with some all previous models! The magnets are flipped in the newer cables so they will not mate up with the older devices! Oh, make that up to having to carry THREE charging cables.
Four benefits of the magnetic charging is improved waterproofing, hands free use, not fiddling, getting the cable in a port in the dark and the Olight cable is far far more reliable than a USB-C/Micro cable.
The UI does seem very nice. For me, I'm partial to the Seeker 4 Pro rotary switch. So useful in selecting output...and going to a lower setting without having to toggle through brighter first,....but many flashlights do this type of toggling and I have a few of them. This seems to be best of them all.
SEEKER 4 is glorious. The best UI with ramping when you want it. An Olight UI with 4 taps to change to ramping would be cool but then you're getting into the complicated Anduril territory, which can be a put off for most flashlight buyers.

I have the ARMYTEK PRIME C2 PRO MAX MAGNET USB WARM and it has quickly become my favorite of the larger EDC because it shines so much and far with many power choices. I'd love to see what you think of it and a comparison between it in warm and cold light. There isn't a video on it on RUclips that wasn't made by Armytek themselves and it seems to be completely missed by flashlight fans.

I dont know, man. Yes, its a nice light, but the custom 16340 and the fact that only these work in the Baton 4 is kinda putting me off

The olight 16340 works across my sofirn and wurkoss 16340 and 18350 lights . Hs10, sc21pro, if19, fc11, hd15r and ts11.

So far I haven't taken a shine to the Armytek UIs. Easy to forget.
