I appreciate your video.... and really all your videos, but this one was very timely. This morning I woke up thinking I'll have to prepare for one year before I can open my own etsy shop. And it was because I make wreaths...so I really need to find ways to reduce the cost...anyway, thank you for your encouragement. I think if I understand etsy better I can do this...and I will still need to figure out ways to reduce my costs for my customers...I sold wreaths years ago as a business but stopped and now I'm thinking of doing it again but using etsy (I've tried starting on shopify and at that time I was also starting to homeschool my daughter and finish grad school... let's just say I had no time for marketing). This is a long comment just to say thanks.... but you really don't know how much I appreciate it.
Thanks for the video! I know you talked about # of products in the video but I am a little confused on that. For example, if I’m selling headbands how many variations should I make? And would each variation be a different product?
I was talking mostly about how many listings you would need. Variations can be both added to each listing, or separated into separate ones! It's up to you! I would choose your designs based on trends though. :) :)
Hi Lizzie ,do you have a course on how to make practice sheet for piping butter cream technique ? I con not figure out how to make them or any type of practice sheets thanks no luck on google
Hmmm--- no I don't! I would probably use canva and save it as a PDF? That's how I would guess this person did it! ruclips.net/video/fCVJVpmqhRQ/видео.htmlsi=7agAPmeowlqFkzGA
Thanks! What would you recommend for someone that has an old (like almost 20 years now) Etsy shop that I started and let it die when my now adult kiddos were babies. Would you recommend firing that one up again or starting over from scratch?
Honestly, I'd start by using the old one! New listings will give you a boost in the algorithm and you'll have the established social proof of your existing sales and reviews. :)
Hi, im starting my 2nd store on etsy and want to do it on the wedding niche, with shirts and sweatshirts, do yiu think i shiuld target maybe a wedding sub niche like maybe bachelorette ahurts ir do i select different wedding sub niches when im starting off?
I definitely recommend starting in those microniches! But even bach is a super busy niche. I suggest you niche down even more! (Maybe party location or type, etc)
So much great information in one video! This is a great way to start the year. Thank you!
So SO thrilled this was helpful!
Thanks, Lizzie, for this video. Here’s to an amazing 2025!
