Agreed. Not many players play their entire NHL career with one team, through all the ups & downs. Now 2 of them--Getzlaf & Brown--are hanging them up for good after stellar careers that saw them raise the cup at least once.

I’m with ya there Matty! McDavid truly holds the title for the best player in the NHL after what he did our us. If we can get as far as I think we can then it’s gonna be one hell of a celebration from everybody! Off to round 2!!

Mad props to the Kings. They exceeded expectations by holding the Oilers to seven games, and even though I hate them as a Sharks fan, they have my respect.
We should all take a minute to appreciate what Smith has done for us this year. Had bad luck with injuries the first half of the season & we were all screaming for a new goalie but since he's been healthy he's been on fire. He played huge for us in this series. McJesus is just doing what he does & Drai played a good game even though he's injured. I'm proud of what our team has done so far, lets hope it continues
Him missing half the season could be the key to this post season, if he needs to play all 28 games
Campbell was criminally underrated. He was very good for us during the reg season during 2020-2022, including the playoffs. Very ver very, underrated

Kings far exceeded my expectations for the season. I thought they would miss the playoffs while their young players gain experience, but they went the distance with a far superior team. Hoping the Flames win their Game 7. I want to see a playoffs edition of the #BattleOfAlberta.

I’m a kings a fan and they could have won but when it really came down to it oilers were the better team most of the series and the oilers deserved to win. Best of luck.

Even though my Kings got eliminated, I'm still very proud of the effort. With their youth, the future looks great for this franchise.

@@MrOctober44 Oh ya. They played beyond most people's expectations for the majority of the season and took a dam good Oilers team to 7 games. I'm stoked for next season. I'm just not sold on Petersen. And despite his contract, how much longer can Quick perform like this? But they do have plenty of youth to develop, which is absolutely the right move. Need to work on their special teams play, for sure.

I know that it doesn’t count for the playoffs but McD did the same thing for the Oilers during the regular season. He carried them on his back, he got them into the playoffs. McD wins the Hart and the Lindsay by a country mile!!!

POWERFUL PASSING OF THE TORCH! did anybody see that ESPN post game feed? As background, Gretzky, a former oiler and king, had predicted (as an Atlanta based panelist on TNN, ESPN) that the Kings would win in 6 and doubled down, that they would win game 7.
Connor had the headset on after the victory. Gretzky waxed poetic about how he put the team on his shoulder, like a champion ... how did he feel after the win.
Connor said "F*** you Gretz, you're not an Oiler!" pulled off the headset and walked off. Goofy looks from the panel preceded a cut to commercial before the american panel interviewed some other goof.
Good for Connor. That is how you pass a friggin torch.
