2003 and 2004 were really Schlager's golden years. Such a unique and beautiful style with such genius. One of the few other players apart from Waldner that use more brains than technique to win a point (yes, both Waldner's and Schlager's technique is brilliant).
In the 2000s, Schlager along with Ryu Seung Min and Timo Boll were the players threatening the Chinese TT team. Since then, I haven't seen any non-Chinese players challenging the Chinese.

It`s amazing how Zhang and Kong have exactly the same strategy and playing style.
Zhang Jike is a lot better than Kong.
