To be completely honest, the difference isn't substantial. The Ryzen 5 5500 performs exceptionally well, consuming 30W less power and being only around 1-9% slower in the games I play. It also features 6 cores and 12 threads. The PCIe 3.0 doesn't bother me since my GPU is a 3.0 card anyway, and it's cheaper in my country ($89 vs $129). I'm concerned about the electricity bill since my parents pay for it, so I've decided to go with the 5500 as an upgrade for my 3100. It will be the last upgrade for my system, and I'll switch to AM5 when it becomes more affordable and efficient. I don't really see the benefits of upgrading to AM5 now, considering I mainly use my computer for casual games and college. Thanks for the video! I ordered the 5500 while typing this comment lol.
itsn't substantial because most of the time gpu is bottlenecking + atleast on warzone ruclips.net/video/GHBSHTGDKOg/видео.html there must be different graphics settings because fps is about the same but right side gpu usage is much higher and 50% higher power consumption. RUclips is full of these benchmark videos where the guys doing it have no clue how to do it right.
one BIG detail, when testing CPU's play at minimum settings, that way you generate the most FPS and run into a CPU limited scenario, where both CPUs will be taken to their 100%, THAT is where you compared them, what they're both fully capable off and where the real difference in power shows up, cause playing at maximum settings is GPU dependant, so having the same GPU will have pretty much the same results or they're barely even different, and this is a CPU comparison

It would be nice if we could see the temperature values without the cooler. It's great that the R5 5500 consumes half as much power as the R5 5600.
That's pretty impressive for the similar performance.
A 10-15fps increase is not worth the 30-40$. Better place that money on a gpu instead. Could jump you up from an rx6600 to rx6600 xt.
Actually you could jump from a 6600 to a 6650 or from 6650 to 7600.
Thats actually a good move.
Thanks for the video!
i notice 5500 had around 30w less cpu power consumption, does it have to do with the settings?
It's just how the CPU is I think,
Cezanne CPUs are so efficient.
5500 has less cache
no need
