An excellent video. Thank you. I'm raw vegan and tend toward fruitarianism. I think that is the natural diet of human. Human adapted to eating meat due to difficulty in finding, growing, and harvesting plant foods, and drought, plagues, war, etc.
If that is the natural diet for humans, then I have a couple of questions: 1. Why do we have the necessary enzymes to break down and digest meat. 2. Why cant digest fiber. Which is what plants are made out of. 3. Why can we live without carbohydrates, but we can't live without animal fat. 4. Why don't plants look appetizing to us, but meat does. 5. Plants do not contain many of the nutrients that we require (B12, K2, Vitamin A, heme iron etc.), and vegans ALWAYS take supplements for these.
@@NordicFrog The nutrients that come from animals come from the same plants that the animals eat. Note: humans do not eat animals that eat other animals. Humans eat animals that feed off of plants and the nutrients that are in the soil. So there is no magic that an animal product has that a plant product doesn’t supply. If you eat plants, your body will do the same thing the animal’s body does when it eats plants-convert it into what the body needs for life. As to craving animals, that is the result of your parents feeding you animals in baby food. Once those bacteria are in your gut from childhood, you will continue to crave animal products to feed those bacteria. Cravings will stop when those bacteria are no longer in the gut by changing to diet to plants. As to enzymes to break down animal products, it has already been shown that primitive and nomadic/tribal humans ate animals sporadically as they wandered across the lands they inhabited. They ate this way as they travelled and lived through forests or deserts. They ate animals during times when they were foraging for other plant food which formed the primary components of their diet. They ate animals sporadically to avoid starvation. Animal products were not the primary component but eaten just to stay alive for the moment until the next plant life could be consumed in abundance. If you think primitive man was eating animals everyday all day long, the jokes on you. People would starve by the time they hunted and killed that many animals on a daily basis to feed whole communities. That is why today people who eat animals are dependent not on hunting them down but on restraining and reproducing animals on cattle ranches, sheep ranches, chicken farms, commercial fishing, etc. No hunting involved. None of us modern humans could live off of meat all day long if we had to hunt it and kill it ourselves. As don’t forget, primitive man had no refrigeration or other advanced storage techniques for meat so whatever got killed had to be eaten right then and there. Notice lions. They hunt and eat about once a week. The kill has to last for their bodies until the next kill. So they rest so they will have the energy to hunt again. But humans was to eat meat everyday all day long with no hunting or real expenditure of energy involved in getting their meat other than driving to the grocery store or restaurant. I’m 60 and was a caregiver to parents and grandparents who ate the way you are talking about. And so did I until I wised up in my 40s to become vegetarian and then in my 50s to become vegan. Did you know that the primary cause of cataracts is eating red meat? Strokes, dementia, heart attacks, cancer, diabetes, are all related to the diet of animal products. Keep eating animals but be prepared for the consequences. Primitive man and even most people up until the Medieval period were dead before age35 from disease, war, famine, exposure to the elements, etc. so they did not live long enough in general to experience the long-term effects of eating animals even though they would not have consumed as many animal products as frequently as modern man. Average death now occurs between ages 61 and 80 due to lack of war, treatment to prevent contagion, etc. So now between ages 61 and 80 a major factor causing death is the cumulative effects of eating animal products which is blocked/clogged arteries-heart disease, dementia, etc. Keep eating animals if you want but be prepared for the irreversible consequences when you are older.
