Great video! I use 12 of these lights at my church. I need to change the colors in between every song we play. I’m using an obey 40 controller. I am able to save scene colors but can’t figure out how to do a slow fade between scenes . Any help would be great!
Paul Martella thank you. Let me know if this helps...here are some steps: 1. Turn off the controller 2. Hold the blackout and tapsync buttons down at the same time. 3. While doing this, then turn on the controller 4. Now press the tapsync button to toggle between two modes. Either all channels fade (A) or just Pan and Tilt (P) 5. Press blackout and tapsync to save the settings. All the LED’s will blink to confirm.
Thanks! I will try thAt today. I also bought a obey 3 thinking the more simple controller would work better. I could not get that to work either, the preset colors would not work.
Hey Chris, great informative video!!! I just received my par today. BUT, I plugged it into my DMXIS box that is in my laptop, set my dmx channel to 1 on the par, setup DMXIS software with the correct fixture and all my channels/faders don't coincide with the manuals function description or what you have in your software!!! It seems the functions are in different faders. I was able to figure out what faders do what, but one fader has me lost. Do you think i might have a faulty par?
Trent Sprenkle do you have a mode like I’m using on my laptop in your software where you can pull up each individual fader and see if it matches mine? It might be messed up in the profile for the light on your software.
Chris Meister - Lighting and Sound yes. It populates the channels when you add the fixture with the channel functions, and mine are different from yours and the manual. It’s DMXIS software.
Trent Sprenkle if the profile on the software doesn’t match the manual or react correctly like it does on my software, then that seems to be a problem within the profile of the light on your software.
@@chrismeister-lightingandso5569 I ordered another light, cheap as they are, and we'll see if that one has the same issue. Coming tomorrow. BTW, I went through the auto modes just now and they are totally different from your light, so at this point, I have no idea what light I have! Yikes.
Hi Chris, Do you have any video of to to fix this light? I have 4 of them exact model like it show in your video; however, when I turned mine on (no daisy chain), they are blinking like crazy and the menu or enter button seems not working! I wonder of whether or not we can reset everything back to factory or get out of that blinking mode. Thanks William
May Nguyen I’m sorry As I don’t have any video on how to fix the light. I would get back in contact with whoever you bought the lights from. If I were to take a wild guess, you could try pressing and holding the menu button and see if it takes the light out of whatever it is in. I haven’t had any problems like that with any of mine and I have 16 of them. With these lights if they break I will either throw them away, maybe buy another one if I really need, keep it for parts or try to see if it’s an easy fix.

Paul Martella the obey 3 only supports up to 3 channels of dmx which are Red Greed and Blue. The eyourlife fixtures have more than 3 channels.
