I don't care if people call this a "old people car" I would love to afford one in leather and smell like cigar smoke. my grandpa had the lasabre in dark blue and since he smoked cigars, it had that great aroma. when I think of a Buick I think my gramps and a good cigar
I know, everyone thinks luxury cars are old people cars just because they buy them or brought them in those days. Technically this as many other luxury cars are family cars. Now days old people as young people buy SUV's of all sizes weather It's Cadillac, Lincoln or Chevrolet.
I still can remember that there was a Buick Park Avenue in our neighborhood. In Taiwan, American cars has been not so popular for 2 decades. It was so impressing for me because of its unique exterior.
Love that cloth interior (maintains a nice appearance far longer than leather) and no vinyl top to capture and hold moisture. Gorgeous cruiser. Rush tunes a plus!

The Buick Park Avenue and Olds Ninety Eight from 1991 thru 2005 (the Olds was discontinued after 1996) were probably the best full size luxury cars GM ever built. The 3.8 engine was bulletproof, and these cars had excellent rides and fuel economy.
I'll second that, and also say that the supercharged ones are very fast for their size. I've had 2 Park Avenue Ultras: a black '94 and my current green '95, and they are true sleepers. You can get them very cheaply as well: I paid $2700 for my first and only $1500 for my current one. If you find a good one it won't let you down, and it's not like you're driving an econobox!
+Dash Riprock Grew up in the era of the big GMs, My Uncles were all GM crazy. Missed those couch like seats. My dad like GM also but he always drove station wagons which drove me crazy.
I can also agree.. I have a 1993 Oldsmobile 98 Touring Sedan and it's a fantastic ride, very comfortable, and gets 20-30 mpg... also handles very well and with the supercharged 3800 moves quite swiftly! I've had several complements while I've been out driving and it's nice to know others appreciate these cars!
Wonderful video, thanks! The Buick Park Avenue (and the supercharged "ULTRA" version) was one of my favourite American cars in my teenage years. I found it a precious 100% American sedan, although the first time I saw it in a Spanish car magazine in 1992, I thought it was a modifyed Jaguar XJ-Series. But after a segond intensive sight and after having read the complete article, I realised that it was a wonderful full American-style car. P.S. The unit of this video is a museum piece!
I just LOVE the classic RUSH and STYX. I can tell you're in Reidsville. I know that area well. The dash looks like my uncle's 1997 Buick LeSabre Limited. It had a white exterior and blue leather interior. I moved to Pensacola, Florida. I now live in Auburn, Alabama. I will be moving back to North Carolina sometime next Spring. I once live in the Rockingham County area from 1980 - 2004. Lived in Azusa, California from 1971 - 1980. I moved to High Point back in 2004. I left North Carolina in March 2016. Not sure about the park avenue, but the 97 lesabre has good road feel when your bushings are in good shape. That floaty feel is actually pretty unique and pleasant, yet not ponderous
That Buick is in great shape! I have a 1994 Ultra in all black and I wish it was in that great of shape, though it also looks great. This in my opinion was the greatest looking of the Park Avenues, with a modern (at least for the time) take of classic lines that still looks great today. Great video as always, Kyle!
I had exactly the same car ,but in Burgundy color and with the leather seats!! Fantastic souvenir especially in Normandy! But the gas mileage was hard to sustain in France....
Great video, dont know why so many people say rude comments I say if ur not interested in it dont watch. Dont change a thing Kyle everything works in your videos. love the variety you give all of us. Thank you for this great review Kyle! This Park Avenue is in such perfect condition... I love those Buicks. I also have a 1991 you see it on the right side under related videos with the "Blinker" shown. Just using a new YT account now
i just got myself one too, same year, maroon inside and out, and while it's not the ultra model and got some miles to it, even some parts replaced and repaired, but i have to say, i'm liking it so far despite not being fuel efficient compared to todays cars
Although I personally dislike the body style, This car has a great engine, and buicks have always been great cars. my favorites are the Lacrosse, 98 Regal, and the newer Park Avenues. You seriously cant beat these GM 3.8s. Best engines ever made.
I went to iceland a year ago and out of the entire 5 day trip, undoubtedly the highlight was when I saw a 1992 buick park avenue parked with about a foot of snow on it. Didnt take any pictures of the cliffs or buildings but I took a picture of that car. Priorities lol
buick really seems to have knocked it out of the park (no pun intended) with these cars. they were even imported into europe and germany as big luxury cars for long trips. i would have loved to ride in one.
Great video as always and nice Buick. This reminds me of my great aunt's 1995 Oldsmobile 88, which also has the 3800 engine and is still in pretty good shape. I'm not a GM expert by any means as I drive a Toyota, but I know that the 3800 is known to be one of the most solid engines made by GM. This must have been garaged because for a 21 year old car, it looks like it hasn't seen much exposure to the elements.

Back when Buicks looked like Buicks. I remember when this car came out. My father taught me how to drive on a 1988 Electra Limited. The Great American Road belongs to Buick🇺🇸🇺🇸
