"Situationships" are just dumb and useless. The way she described them as, doing what a couple does, but not calling yourselves and actual couple so that you don't know what's okay and what's not, that's literally manipulation. You should have your boundaries with everyone, and you should be just as mad when someone crosses them no matter what phase you're in.
Yeah I lost my v card in a situationship. I think the red flag should've been the fact that he's half black half latino like me, but only dates white latina women and hardly expressed any other nonsexual interest in my dark skinned self. I became a whole fetish and don't realize it🤦🏾♀️

I’m a lot older than the target audience so I’m going to sound stereotypical. Back in my day, the purpose of the first date wasn’t romance but do something fun so you can know the other person.
Sex and romance was never expected especially on the first date. First date, dinner and a movie, roller skating or anything you find fun and talk to each other so you can better know each other.
Maybe young people see dates differently than what we did back in the before time. The purpose of dates and first dates was to get to know someone.

This is how I’ve always seen dates. I’ve found that some of the people I went on dates with tried to be too close and romantic on first dates, and I thought it was just me being cold when I felt uncomfortable by it.

Yeah I agree ambiguity is frustrating in relationships. Relationships are all about clear communication so that all parties can have understanding on the nature of the relationship. I agree with you Emily and I think this video goes hand in hand with your playing hard to get video. If you like/love something just cut to the chase and tell them, life's too short to be playing games like that!
I feel like you don't really know someone until like three months in. This is why I think if your 'relationship' was less than three months then it wasn't a relationship, it was just a fling.
I was in a 'situationship' with my now boyfriend for a while. At three months I asked him if we were a couple. He was like "Let's wait a bit before we put a label on things". So I was still on tinder talking to people but not really meeting anyone (except for one guy a week after I met my boyfriend). I asked again at 6 months and I was like "My parents think you're my boyfriend" and he said that his parents thought the same. We agreed that we were a couple. I then deleted tinder from my phone. I found out later that he deleted his whole ass account like 1 month into meeting me. So yeah, establish your boundaries people and don't let yourself to be scared to be open and vulnerable like my boyfriend was. He's very lucky that I'm a very patient person ahaha.
