Eric will sneak up on you midway thru a song such as this and completely destroy you emotionally, leave you crying like a baby. Such is his power. I know where of I speak.

Wow, Eric is singing off book. His expressions are of a much more mature singer. His voice is fabulous. Even his fellow choristers smile listening to him.

The best choice Eric made was to go solo and not be stuck in some choir singing a solo once in a while. Eric's list of compositions are astounding and astonishing. He was and is still the busiest of the young boy Sopranos..

I myself know a lot of YT-videos with boy soloists performing that opus by Herbeck here at YT. But until now I have not seen such a cheerful boy soloist being so radiant with happiness (strahlend vor Glück) after his solo...
7 years i was expecting to do this solo since I saw Jean Baptiste Maunier singing it with "les choristes" ( I was 4), which conviced me that day that I would be a soprano boy too. And this song was the last one of the first part of the concert. At the end 900 people made more than 10 minutes of standing ovation, so I felt myself very happy.
Again I am truly amazed at how you owned this song. Best version ever. You are truly a legend.

@@EricleRossignol Une seule répétition avant cette merveille? C'est bien ce que ke disais: tu es GÉNIAL Les choristes (surtout la 3è du premier rang) semblent penser comme moi. Au fond, depuis "Les Prodiges" de 2014,, même si tu es passé de l'enfance à l'adolescence, tu es au fond de toi resté le même. Présentant par exemple à 9 ans le fait que tu allais chanter avec les Chœurs de l'Armée Rouge comme un "détail"! Sacré Eric! Si tu me fais le plaisir de me répondre à nouveau, j'aurai une proposition d'envoi de courrier (postal) à te faire. A bientôt, j'espère, mon jeune ami.

There is only one around me and there was never any solo so I left it. I feel great emotion with solo, and very few in the Choir.
This song is not at all easy to sing, and Eric did a fantastic rendition. Bravo!

I like this song which you sang brilliantly. Is Jean Baptiste Maunier the first boy soprano to inspire you? But I think your voice at that time is not strong enough; it was overwhelmed by the choir at some stage.
Yes I sing because of Jean Baptiste. After I saw him at 4 I want to do the same as him.
