When Mirabel is worried, the house cracks. It makes sense that she's like the embodiment of the magic and the house! When she put the doorknob on the house at the end, it gave off the same aura as it does when they get their gifts, which is why she is the embodiment of the house.
this is a really good theory but like this is an obvious thing. not to be rude but yeah i feel like everyone who has watched Encanto would have known this

Why do I feel like Mirabel’s gift literally would be controlling the house? Like she did the cool door light with the house after rebuilding, she also moves throughout the house by using the homes magic. (Floor tiles, ramp stairs, Treadmill, ect) idk but it’s cool to think.
Also not to mention the fact the house cracks when she started getting mad and sad at abuela. So it’s almost like her emotions also control the house,.
Edit: even further proof is she’s the only person who talks to casita, as in the scene at Bruno’s tower. Credit-@Misery in the replies below

The door faded but instead of fading the door itself was fading INTO the wall and merging to the house pretty much the wall ate the door and merged it with the house.

The whole purpose of the movie was that she didn't need a gift to be special. I personally am happy that she doesn't magically get a gift at the end, that would ruin everything.
I just think that, like abuela, she is the next candle holder, nothing more or less and that is PERFECTLY fine.

I tought that Abuela's gift was the magic tied to the candle and everyone got their gifts trough her. Later I tought that that gift went to Mirabel with the door handle. (Abuela got her gift because she needed to protect her kids so her love for them turned into gifts that they got. That is why they are losing their powers because Abuela is more focused on the magic and not her family where almost everyone who has some kind of emotional issue with her is loosing their gift. The reason why Mirabel didn't get the gift seemed to be because she was going to be next keeping their gifts alive after Abuela who was getting older)

another theory is that when you see her touch the candle she wipes her hand on her dress and when you see antonio get his gift he gets it and he didn’t wipe his hands and she could have just been wiping sweat of her hands but what if when you get a gift you need the magic in the candle to mix with your sweat to get a gift. anyways that’s just a random theory i thought of 🤸♀️

To add onto that Mirabel was the only one to actually talk and communicate with Casita when everyone else just took what Casita handed them, like there coffee at the beginning, and did what was need to keep Casita up to date

Also at the end part when Mirabel ruturns the magic to Casita, the entrance/arc above the door had 11 butterflies representing each family member. But there is 12 members of the Madrigal family, so where was Mirabels? On the door, it shows that the last missing butterfly is on Mirabel's dress!!! :D

I haven't watched the video yet but my theory is that Mirabel's gift is that she can manipulate time. Her door appeared, then it disappeared, turning time back. She froze time to sing the song "Waiting for a Miracle". I think she can manipulate time without even realizing it.
I think that was just for the song and wouldn't she have gotten a door if so?

Right!! I literally noticed that tre first time and when Antonio was getting his gift I was looking to see if he would do the same thing. We also hadn’t seen the other characters either, but except for one of the parents and they didn’t wipe the hands on their clothes.

I have two theories, Mirabel shares feelings with the Casita or the reason she doesn’t have a gift is because she wiped off the magic of the candle onto her clothes. If you look at her flashback you can tell that after she touches the candle she wipes it off versus Antonio who did not wipe his hands and got his gift.

Which is why when she loses her hope in her family, her easy smile and the light she normally brings everyone, Casita breaks and the magic disappears with it.

Mirabel's true gift is actually being able to convert the world around her into a musical
She and kind of Abuela (Mostly Mirabel) can understand Casita and Casita only cracks twice, once, when she was really sad during Antonio's gift ceremony, and then when she was mad at Abuela. She also can basically "control" Casita at certin times. She is also probably gonna be the next candle holder.

Mirabel doesn’t have a gift because she touched the candle and then her SHIRTand the door didn’t let her in, but when Antonio did the gift ceremony, he touched the candle and then touched the door knob and it let him talk to animals.
I don't think thats it, just because she wiped her hands on her short before touching the handle does not explain why she doesn't have a gift, simply maybe she already had the gift which was the candle or moving the house around

I always thought she could slow down time or move faster then it bc when they took a picture in Antonio's room and they all froze I noticed they all were blinking slowly and moving slowly while she moved normal much like quick silver from X-Men and the reason she didnt get a door was bc the house didn't want everyone to feel threatened including her by her power or gift
(Idk this is just one of the many theories I thought of while watching the movie lmao)
