The world's largest all digital IMAX theater in Wichita, Kansas at the Warren Theatre West. I went and it's worth the $ to go. Screen is 6 stories tall, 100 feet wide, 93,000 WATT sound system, 600 leather seats, pure awesomeness :D. Plus it's the only IMAX screen in the world to have a curtain over it.

the only imax i liked was an imax 3d in vegas featuring a 3d ride in the cesars palace, the screen completely surrounded your vision, the image was bright and the seating area was on a gimble too. ive been to three other imax screens, it just looks like staring at a big square, the image doesn't look high def and is dark. going to a regular theater to see a dolby digital 3D film is better.
You'd think Canada would have the world's biggest screen because that's where IMAX comes from. But no. Us aussies are awesome and thought we would take the title.
@nahalitet11111111111 - In Germany there is just one IMAX 3D (technical museum in Sinsheim) + IMAX Dome in Speyer left (and the Phantasialand theme park, showing kinda underwater film using IMAX technology). Nürnberg once had both technics, 1000m^2 Dome & about 700m^2 3D screen, but they are digitalized now as well. This once was the most powerful cinema experience I ever had, but modern DLP solutions -even double projection- suck at competition, I have never seen a satisfying lighted picture.
i am looking for an imax intro. the one that went into a wormhole and the effects looked like the hyperspace scene in 2001 a space odessey (sorry for my spelling). i know it was in the 90s. if you have it please put it on youtube. thanks and I LOVE IMAX!!!!
@goldoderblut I have no idea about US, since I come from Bulgaria :) What I can tell you is that I watched some of the newest movies in IMAX (the real one) like Thor and I didn't enjoy the 3D effects as I did the first time I watched 3D. So I don't know if the problem is in the 3D quality or just because we are used to it and it doesn't make that big impression to us. Regards

@nahalitet11111111111 are there any places in the us still playing real imax? cause they became just another resellers of cheap 2k digital shit solutions only called imax by name, instead of the once BIG screen, BIG sound, BIG 70mm here in europe :(
@nahalitet11111111111 at the time you uploaded it you should have named it Imaz intro HQ because at the time youtube was barely pushing out high quality videos not HD so FAIL on you.

Went to the IMAX at one of the museums in Washington, DC and also went to one at the Maryland Science Center. Both were incredible experiences.

12k for a movie theater is quite a bit i believe there is a diffrent between home audio and Car audio Still IMAX sound is much better than reg theater
