Bryant Nelson Hitlers ambition was to conquer the world. Against a hunkered down enemy, and with recourses to back everything up, it is practical. The point of the gun was to eliminate the loss of manpower even against a very heavily defended opponent, which in, it excelled, the time and resource constraints were just a little too huge.
I think more accurately, its a perfect example of how smart and stupid THE NAZI's could be at the same time since them spending a fortune on ludicrous ways win the war never once payed off since the man in charge thought he had unlimited resources and nobody around to try and stop him.....until both of those things proved very much incorrect.

Hans."
"Yes sir."
"What is that thing?"
"Soviet union"
"Shot at it!"
"Yes sir"
That made me laugh. :)
@@wyattmcgee1 I am glad that it did
Yeah, it was impractical, it was a pain to set it up and it would destroy itself.
But it was Awesome!
Nico Aries
It was impractical and hard to set up, but it wasn’t self-destructive.
Unlike some other wunderwaffen.
@@bkjeong4302 true but still very difficult to manovere
This was Germany’s solution when they heard bob semples tank was going to be sent to the western front
Gotta build something even more ridiculous
Yes
Time to build a wooden tank and it’s weapons will be a kitchen knife. Time to build a even worse tank
This gun is pathetic compared to the Bob Semple Tank
So this is the origin of Bob the Builder..
And Bobs Vegana
This is the Earth’s Death Star.
- Him : How many millimeters do u want my fuhrer
- His fuhrer : Yes
Honestly this weapon is entirely made for fear factor but completely impractical in every sense of the word
I have to admit germany had some fine engineers
tristenMLG but it was impractical and expensive, if you need that many men to even operate the thing then it would've been better to just put those men to fight and use that steel for something else.
The inspiration for everyone’s *favorite* Call of Duty WW2 map!
Ethan Shtifman it is mine though...
Springarc 1 I’m just saying that because it’s too big for many gamemodes and most people just camp on the gun itself in my experience of the map.
how you launch a 14,000lb projectile 29 miles is something i don’t think I’ll ever be able to wrap my mind around.
A whole lot of cordite.
( Bomber pilots in WW2 )
Pilot 1: “Yo I think I see the factory were supposed to bomb”
Pilot 2: “What? It’s supposed to be another 7 kilometres south!”
Pilot 1: “Wait a minute, why is it on rails? And what’s with that huge pointy thing on the front?”
Pilot 2: “What in the good name of all that is holy to the English crown...”
"That's no moon, it's a railway gun!"
“a-are those flak cannons...TURN BACK, TURN BACK”
Where’s Bazooka Charlie, we could really use him right now
*That's no factory, it's a railway gun!*
"what in the good name of all that is holy to the English crown" is my new swear.
Perfect representation of how smart and stupid we can be at the same time...
Hitler's dream
Bryant Nelson Hitlers ambition was to conquer the world. Against a hunkered down enemy, and with recourses to back everything up, it is practical.
The point of the gun was to eliminate the loss of manpower even against a very heavily defended opponent, which in, it excelled, the time and resource constraints were just a little too huge.
@Ziad Khaled It's explained at the end of the video.
@@Z3ZP yeah Hitler had the Plan, but Elizabeth had it done already^^
I think more accurately, its a perfect example of how smart and stupid THE NAZI's could be at the same time since them spending a fortune on ludicrous ways win the war never once payed off since the man in charge thought he had unlimited resources and nobody around to try and stop him.....until both of those things proved very much incorrect.

The Germans made a portable death star
The Death Star was also portable.
Bretton Ferguson What do you want from me, I'm not a rocket scientist
Zachary K. It’s common sense
Bretton Ferguson but also impraticle and not very economic in real world conflicts especially today with a fast moving battlefield.
Zachary K. The death star WAS portable.
"So uh... How big do you make em?"
Germany: "yes"
