Thanks for loading, Always nice to see a Qantas 747 (the old flying kangaroo) but not so nice when one of the bloody things is flying off the front of your car! oh that's a roo, not a 747. Lol
Nice shot! I know that even the B744 can't reach Australia nonstop from New York, so I figured it had to stop in California. I think Qantas flies nonstop Sydney to Dallas with an A380.
A few hours before departing as QF16 to Brisbane.....passengers are off loaded for aircraft cleaning but reboard this flight or others headed for Sydney or Melbourne.....they are not permitted to disembark in LAX.
@@AUmarcus Slight correction: Passengers are permitted overnight stopovers in LA, provided that they are also continuing to Australia as part of the same overall itinerary. The one thing to beware of is that on exiting the Tom Bradley terminal after arriving from JFK, you need to go through passport control (and for this reason you need your passport to check-in at JFK).
What's the story with this Qantas Queen? I work at Melbourne Airport we did have the Melbourne to LAX run but I think that it is coming to end with the 787 coming in. But the other night I saw one and it does an early evening departure to Hong Kong.
It's the flight from LA and Brisbane. Qantas plays an evil trick to all headed to Sydney. All passengers going to Sydney (or Melbourne), get onto a waiting A380, usually, at LAX.
Yes, QF15 flies out of Brisbane bound for LAX, then QF16 flies back from LAX to Brisbane, Queensland. These same B747 planes fly onward to New York and back to LAX, that's why QF16 never leaves LAX on time. :)
So unique seeing the Qantas 747 at JFK. Always turns heads..
Just Spectactular, great rotation.
The Qantas Queen!!! Beautiful, great catch!!!
I do remember 747,42 years ago,thanks beatiful plane.
Great shot...I see this beauty nearly every day at the other end of the line -Brisbsane Australia. One of my favourites!
She's,a real "Beauty ",love watching her taking off !! See,you in Sydney !!
Fantastic shot!

Add Santiago, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Tokyo Haneda for the 747 and London via Dubai for the a380 from Sydney and Melbourne.
*****
Dubai is only a refuelling stop for the SYD/LHR and MEL/LHR flights....but passengers can disembark there yes.
Are three pilot crews used for JFK-LAX-SYD ?
How long does it stay in LA and do passengers get off the plane?????

steep climb out there for a 744

The Qantas Queen!!! I never knew these came so close to home...I need to visit JFK :P
They fly to YVR from SYD.
New York is way closer than Ottawa than YVR
You will need all your RUclips money to get out of jail after spotting there.
Nice work!!
QANTAS last 747 flight ✈️ Sydney to Los Angeles departs Sydney 27 th November 2018. The Aussie Queen of the skies is slowly retiring

At this time the B744 went:
BNE - LAX as QF15;
LAX - JFK as QF11 (QF11 SYD to LAX was an A380);
JFK - LAX as QF12;
LAX to BNE as QF16.
I can imagine how confusing this route would have been back when QF flew the a330 to JFK
QF 12 New York To LAX to Melbourne 2019 I go to USA Soon April 2019
Boring.
