Normally do the 2 mini towers in Mospharan highwaste. Do a big battle chain with them . Get the chocobo ride it to westersands fly to Ridirana cataract. Don't touch any save crystals. Enter pharos and use way stone in wellspring and ride the elevators up. Actually easier and less time consuming. Lol.
I remember in the original game after getting the Grand Armor from the Helvinek enemy I'd come here to try and get the Grand Helm. It was torture trying to get that drop and not because of Tower but the traversing to get him to spawn.

FYI in the middle of doing this I lost my chain and had to do it that way and edit it in.

@@herdisusanto6523 only in trial mode. I think Monid on floor 60 has a brave suit for a rare steal. Zodiark has the lordly robes as a rare steal.
I did this for I don’t know how long. I had a 26 chain (no helm) Went to kill it again and I got a broken chain of 2. Not sure what the hell happened.

By far easiest method is farm/steal from Hashmal Trial mode stage 49.
Why not just reload the auto save every time he doesn’t drop the grand helm?
This way you can get multiple if you are lucky
