You were in up country Maui in Makawao. Maui is one of the most expensive islands to visit. Room prices are so outrageous that some tourist rent van's that have been converted to campers and park it at the beach. The road to Hana is super zigzagged in winding. When there are landslides, the road gets blocked. I was born on Oahu and live on Oahu now but I lived on Maui for about a year and also on the Big island of Hawaii. Maui is by far, my favorite. Yes, Hawaii is pronounced Ha-va-e.ll
When your visiting Maui region near Honolulu your going to see a lot of 🐔 there friendly 😅 the drive thu the Island is nice & relaxing. its got a lot of great scenery an location for a selfie volcanic soil is great for growing fruits and vegetables.
