  • It's been 6 months since we picked up our new Great Aussie Caravan and we absolutely love it! Are there things we would change? Absolutely! Has anything broken? Yep! Would we buy another one? Of course! Just like building a new house, nothing is perfect and there needs to be some TLC along the way. Tune in to this episode to see our honest review of our caravan as we are not sponsored or affiliated with any company, brand or person. Any questions, please ask us in the comments section.

Hi Laura and Troy, Thanks for the honest review. I suggest you do not burn candles in your van.. Fire can cutter a caravan very fast. The last thing you want is a person or pet trapped in the van. It's not worth risking lives. Keep the flames for the campfire

Thanks for your honesty with your van. Have you thought about getting a whirlybird an or some form of temperature monitoring for the dog box? I was just worried that those little side vents won't be enough ventilation for your dog especially in the heat. Would be heartbreaking to stop and find your lovely dog had suffocated or overheated in there that's all.

    • @JourneyUnknown

Hi Anita, thanks for watching and commenting. We haven't put Coco in the dog box yet. Until we install the whirly vent similar to the ones that transport greyhounds. if the temperatures are very hot she won't travel there.

I have nothing but praise for my CEL-FI, it works brilliantly but I do have a Yagi directional antenna on an extension above the van. I would suggest you need to raise the position of your aerial, you would get no signal if the tower is in the direction of the front of your van. Cheers Jeff

👍👍. Great run down & honest review! Cheers. If u hadn’t said u brought this brand new. I would’ve guessed it was third or at best secondhand. That was made on the cheap.. I’m guessing it’s around $90 - 100k. Van. The van layout looks ok, but the products & workmanship looks really piss poor! & as for those window screens & shades wow did they even test them before they put them in their vans…. Obviously not & the fact u can see through the privacy shade. Yeah well!….. hope you guys get the van back properly fixed, but my concern is they have taken so many shortcuts on cupboards, screens, privacy shades, doors, draw fixings, plumbing ect. So how is it structurally, the wiring, rust protection, suspension ect. & u just said it’s a off road van. Oh…. Hope it works out well. Cheers.

This is why I’m nervous buying a new van. I’m sorry but that’s poor build quality.

Poor bloody dogs. They'll overheat in there. That door needs to be all like a small square Rio mesh.
Even with that, they will be very hot in warm weather.
Working dogs travel under the truck in dog boxes with open mesh doors for that reason, even in winter and rain.
Better they be cold than too hot. Especially with more than one dog in there. Their body heat will quickly escalate the temp.
You obviously love and care for your dogs, but one day, you may well open that door to find one or more of them dead.
I know a man that happened to.

Calm the farm Joyce. We haven't finished the dog box. The dogs will only travel in the box when we have installed the rotary vent. not to mention when it's too hot they will be in the air conditioned car. thanks for watching and commenting 🙏
