It's been announced for a while, however, years ago when Tae met BTS Tae wanted to collab with Jimin. Since he was doing a come back they thought it was a good time. There is a possibility that Jimin's album will drop next month too.

More like uncle and nephew 😂😭 BTS idolized Bigbang since early Bigbang, some of BTS trained at Suengri's academy. They performed Bigbang hits and have expressed they looked up to them. As an older age group of VIP, I love seeing this collaboration. Got to have someone to look up to and influenced you in a good direction. Love it.
