Honestly Starcraft 1&2 are perhaps the most balanced esports out there. It’s pretty much like Chess without perfect information and your victory is reliant a 100% on your game knowledge, game mechanics and skills. It’s a shame that the very game that started the esports scene has grown so small in recent years. It’s understandable that new players aren’t going to be into a competitive realtime strategy game as it takes quite a while to fully grasp how the game is played and even if they do try to play the game they are let off by the 1v1 as there is no luck involved and no teammates to blame as every outcome in the match is 100% based on how you act or react to your opponent.
Well I believe the number 1 reason the viewerships are low is that there's little to no reason to watch competitive FIFA when you can literally watch real football
Sounds to me what EA can do is create a player draft with an Overall team rating limit of 85, this would make competitive play independent of MTX, and allows management strategies to have an effect on the game.
Well... Considering that they launch 1 game of the franchise every year, that if you want to become a pro in this game you have to obviously pay to have a good team, and that all of your money spend goes to trash when the new game is launched, I don’t think that it can become a very popular Esport.
Remember when FIFA was an e-sport in the World Cyber Game tourneys? I remember, but that was the time before Ultimate Team even an idea inside EA's head.
There is a pro clubs competitive scene with multiple different websites that do this extraordinarily well, like on a far bigger scale than any gaming league system I’ve seen on anything else. With occasional streams of 11v11 tournament matches too esports wise it would still likely struggle, it still has a lot of issues 1v1 FUT does, other than removing the AI+pay to win and it would need to be heavily subsidised by EA to make playing professionally viable (prize money being split among 11+ players vs 1-6/7 depending on the game) or become extremely popular to generate that revenue naturally. Neither of them seem feasible, but it is definitely more enjoyable to watch
Just make Pro Clubs into the Esport Mode of Fifa. This fixes the pay 2 win Problem and also with all players being controlled by humans you dont have to rely on AI in a competitive environment.
In my opinion, despite how terrible of a company EA is, I think that the main reason that people don't watch FIFA esports is because most people would prefer to watch a real football match or play it themselves. I know that this may be a controversial opinion, but other esports thrive on their detachment of reality. I mean, in real life you could never see monsters or other fantastic characters battling each other like in MOBAs, but you can easily turn on the TV and watch a match whether it's live or a replay

FIFA is the biggest joke in the gaming community but I respect Akshon for providing videos of every aspect of esports
Wdym fifa is really fun, the thing is not everyone likes shoot em ups and yelling the nword, I play shooting games and fifa but at the moment I find fifa more fun and that's because I don't feel the need to go for esports cos I find it fun just playing
@@nicohoward9843 If you enjoy playing the base game that's fine. But supporting the Ultimate Team Mode hurts the gaming industry as a whole because EA as well as other companies look at the money generated and try ways to force those tactics into other genres.
@@SpartanOfLuxon I only play ultimate team...
That’s why EA should make pro clubs their main mode, training sessions like real life, everyone could control one player and it’s much more fun and has potential to be successful in esports.
To everyone blaming EA: Who encouraged EA to be like that? Yes, the pay to win players. they are the real culprits.
Yes but the problem still mainly lies with EA
@@manofsteel9051 yeah its not like they could be greedy sons of bitches and make a fair game. Imagine a game of ur favorite sport, ur passion, that is fair. There wouldnt be much more ud like to spend money on. But insteed 30-70% of the games u play r decided by the game, scripting etc.. i dont get it. The pay to win system is okay for me, u can win against better team if u r a better player, but rn u win because ea wants u to win
Blame on those pack opening youtubers *looking at the sidemen* or other youtuber that produce lootbox opening video *looking at you AliA* they incite young kids to spend money this shitty system so that they could feel proud and flex on their friends.. And some might become desperate due the systems shitty RNG it makes the kids commit theft just so they could get a legend ronaldo "i know i speak from experience"
Tbh it's much more fun when you play with your family and friends just messing around with the game and a lot of cool features that just got trimmed and get to game much more soulless
Because its FIFA
4:23 "and looking the other way as Lewandowski gets RKO'd by Luis Suárez"
Can’t wait for the Fifa points to get banned in the UK.
Hopefully
Anyone heard of competitive pro clubs? VFL? And vpg which has real life team partnerships with winnings. This should be the future of Fifa eSports
EA is more interested in been a cassino then a game dev or creating a e-sport
Give the licensing rights to Konami.
Imagine making it to the grand finals only for the server to die and then EA says rock paper scissors best of 3 wins.
i remember playing pes 5 or 6 on ps2 back in my childhood, even lower rated team can defeat higher rated team if played correctly... in fifa it cant happen... pass 4 or 5 times, the next pass gonna fckd up somehow...
PES gameplay is fair
I wouldn’t equate the level of mechanical skill of that of FIFA to Mario Kart
I wrote almost the exact same thing the last time I lost a fifa match
I'm proud he said football not soccer
Edit: Nevermind
Why didn't he call it "FISA" if he's gonna call it "soccer"
It struggles as an esport bc the AI is getting hurt and calling for fouls every 5 seconds
just like real soccer
football
Did you really post this comment twice? 🤦♂️
@@ireplytostupidpeople4750 sorry for some reson my commment dissapeared on my screen when i edited it.i removed it now
Gonna start saving now to have a $30,000 team and win the FUT championship in FIFA 30.
So many problems with this video, never pronounce PSG like that again and dont say soccer ever again
Paris Saint Jermain
I myself prefer PES, Fifa as far as I remember was always much more casual, but I haven't played both games for a few years now.
Pes has better gameplay, is funnier than fifa
13 minutes when all you had to say was: "Because it's a scripted game"
That and the imbalanced roster that a player have...especially the pros...
$$$ in EA's wallet
Well I believe the number 1 reason the viewerships are low is that there's little to no reason to watch competitive FIFA when you can literally watch real football
Fifa is the biggest scam in the history of video games.
Sounds to me what EA can do is create a player draft with an Overall team rating limit of 85, this would make competitive play independent of MTX, and allows management strategies to have an effect on the game.
Wow this sounds like a horrible game why would anyone play it?
Pay to win with yearly resets. Yeah that should do the trick. Also, EA is somehowworse than NINTENDO at running tournaments
Sounds to me like there's a desperate need for a dev to design a competitively viable soccer game, because fifa sounds fucking toxic
They have the perfect mode for an esport in pro clubs. But that never gets promoted because basing the pro scene on FUT makes more money.
How about 11v11 real life players, each assigned a player, it would significantly increase the skill level.
There is a pro clubs competitive scene with multiple different websites that do this extraordinarily well, like on a far bigger scale than any gaming league system I’ve seen on anything else. With occasional streams of 11v11 tournament matches too
esports wise it would still likely struggle, it still has a lot of issues 1v1 FUT does, other than removing the AI+pay to win and it would need to be heavily subsidised by EA to make playing professionally viable (prize money being split among 11+ players vs 1-6/7 depending on the game) or become extremely popular to generate that revenue naturally.
Neither of them seem feasible, but it is definitely more enjoyable to watch
Ever heard of pro clubs.
@@ghost-dg6tj just checked it out, why are they they not putting more money in this instead of FUT because this seems to be way cooler.
Just make Pro Clubs into the Esport Mode of Fifa. This fixes the pay 2 win Problem and also with all players being controlled by humans you dont have to rely on AI in a competitive environment.
For the people who be hating on fifa the best thing ever is playing with ur relatives as if its a two player party game
100% agree
Who else almost clicked away when he had to explain how the sport was played?? Turned out to be a great video
Fifa is a team game, if teams play together as one fifa team it works
That’s why I don’t play FUT I play seasons and yet I still get demolish, and very baffled with the random situations 😂
Same thing for Madden. Especially with MUT. Completely the reason why I quit thinking about competitive Madden and quit Madden pretty much overall.
FIFA is the most frustrating game I ever played. I used to play with some friends and we would always end up almost throwing punches at each other lol
Real football is 10 times as fun lmao.
Bro just imagine the amount of money these esports players lost just building their team, I didn't even know they had absolute R I D I C U L O U S
teams.
They should have separate teams for fifa tournaments. Players should be bought using tournament coins which everyone gets the same number of
Why is it that UFC is never in any tournaments they've been making the games better with every entry
