I did a google search on what is playing piano chords one note/key at a time and "arpeggios" was the answer! I found your RUclips videos Kaitlyn and I think you are an exceptional instructor! This opened my eyes (and fingers) to a whole new way of practicing the piano. Thank you so much!
I am a senior . I think your approach to arpeggios is fantastic. Well explained and easy to follow. I just have to get to the piano and practice your techniques.
Hi Kaitlyn! I'm a synthesizer player who's been playing for a very long time. I really enjoy your lessons...they have really motivated me to become a better technical player..thank you, ma'am.
I’ve been looking for an easy way to get back to playing the piano and this is it!!! Love the easy to follow, step-by-step, and friendly video to get me started! Thank you!!!
Wow. Your method is so easy to understand. The way you speak, and play the notes makes me feel really happy. I live far away in Sri Lanka. I am 74 but still learning beautiful music and your method takes top spot. Thank you.
nr 3 i liked most but i have to tell you that i am really really in love with your tutorials now i feel that i can really play the piano thank you very much and god bless you forever long
I have just watched your video , I have been practicing chords for 2 yrs now I can do all 5 I will work on the 6th ; I love gospel songs and I want to learn so I can play in nursing homes I am 71 yr old male. I play chords sharps and flats but I feel like it’s chopped up a lot missing not smooth, I’m not good on the computer so I might even loose this , I cane find any one that is willing to help me. I will try to keep up ,Thank you you gave me hope as I watched this video,
I like them all. It is so difficult to choose only one. I think it will depend on the type of melody you want. Thank you so much. (From a senior citizen of almost 80 )
Thank you very much for your tutorial. I have one suggestion. Please play the arpeggios at a normal speed first ( or last) and then show us the slow version. If you just play the slow version, we don’t know how good they sound. Thanks again.
Great video. I learn a lot from this. I once gave up on learning piano until I see your video. Thank you very much that you inspire me now. Happy playing piano.
A question.. in C chord, you consider the G as the 5th, that i know.. BUT, you say that the next D is the 6th… i would consider the D as the 9th and the A beside the G ( wich is the 5th) as the 6th….
That was a great explanation. I have been told that practicing Arpeggios would improve my playing but I really didn't understand what they were talking about. I figured that something called an Arpeggio must be way above my head. Amazing and I'm calling for lessons right now.
I know these exercises are important I just rather dive into famous POP songs! She is so right about doing these exercises! It is just my LAZY butt fighting with me! Thanks much teacher for showing this video.! I must get in to it ALL no matter how many excuses I have for my own good ,. I cannot deny it!! 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶
My favorite arpeggios...ALL of them. LOL! Been many decades since I took "piano lessons" as a child... sadly it was only performance based, memorized and drilled presentations.... yuck! double yuck!! Boring work to chase perfection in misic I really didn't like at all.... There was almost no attention or opportunity for actually creating music... it was 100% drilled performance...just listening to your videos on arpeggios was a massive stimulation to my creative side... I started with your simplest arpeggios and began simple ad libbing on them up/down, thirds and minors, and in half hour I was having soooo much fun! I'm actually making simple music and melodies I enjoy for their own sake....I sooooo wish I'd had a teacher like you when i was young but I'm massively grateful to have discovered your total infection teaching videos now!! YOU are a brilliant, inspiring teacher!
Great video but was a bit confused on exercise 5. It’s described as 6th but I thought that the notes added were 9th eg the D in the C arp but may be thinking about it the wrong way
You break things down and make them simple to understand. I have been considering getting back into playing piano, after many years of not playing or taking any lessons. I enjoy the way you show how things are done on the keyboard, and having the over head view of the keyboard really makes it even easier to see what you are doing.
Awesome 🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. U went too fast though on the wave part. Anyway nice building up to the last arpeggiio. Tnx a lot. U made it so easy to memorize. 🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I studied music in the past, so my theory is okay, and I just wanted to learn piano techniques. These are exactly the kind of lessons I was looking for. Thank you, and keep up the amazing work. 😊
No sé si lea usted español. Aunque no entiendo el inglés. Entiendo lo que hace con el pieno y la forma como lo describe. Me gusta gracias por la enseñanza.
Great lesson for playing and singing, but could you also give a lesson on arpeggios that involves right hand playing melody of the song while left hand playing the arpeggios, and it would be very helpful if you have a PDF of a song or two, I like to see the notes and timing of them for both hands.
Great video! I appreciated how you explained the ways arpeggios are used in popular music. The "wave" arpeggio is my favorite. I will definitely download the pdf and start practicing today!
Thank You very much for the down load arpegios, I took photos in my phone and I will practice them! Just a68 years old want to expend some time in the piano.
I need ur help! Im really falling in love with the arpeggio of the intro song of Canon . Idk whats the type of that arpeggio called . Can u help me out?
Thank you for sharing these wonderful videos with such helpful training and techniques! I am watching and catching up daily. I’ve been playing at a low intermediate level for years but want to improve technique. I’ve just purchased a Yamaha Clavinova CLP 775 and love it. What software do you recommend that I can use on my iPad to show the notes as I play as you do in your videos? Again, thank you for your outstanding instruction!
I come from a violin background and just beginning keyboard…but I understood, and played, arpeggios as broken scales - not chords, so now a bit confused…🤔 …sigh…piano is sooo difficult!
Wait, I'm confused.... It looks to me like the added note in Arpeggio #5 is the *second* (or ninth), not the sixth. Am I missing something? Either way, these are going to be great to practice.

Playing arpeggios using your left hand is very challenging. And love to see you play more of that 🙏. Thank you.
These exercises will surely help me. Thanks Kaitlyn!👍
I am a senior . I think your approach to arpeggios is fantastic. Well explained and easy to follow. I just have to get to the piano and practice your techniques.
Your lessons allowed me to finally listen to music i played myself.
I think I need to watch this again ……. and again……and again! At this stage they are all my favorites 😀. This may take sever months to go through.

Oh, Kaitlyn, you are so ... appealing ...is a good word! I gonna buy a piano to follow your classes and see what happens! Thank you!
All are good. I like to learn your teaching. Thank you so much.
I like them all. It is so difficult to choose only one. I think it will depend on the type of melody you want. Thank you so much. (From a senior citizen of almost 80 )
I love the way you teach!!!!! After stumbling my way through some piano lessons I quit but will start up again now thank you so much!!!
Wonderful! Thanks for watching!
Good practical things to know. I kind of knew 2 or 3, but at least 3 were brand new to me. Thank-you, for this lesson.
A question.. in C chord, you consider the G as the 5th, that i know.. BUT, you say that the next D is the 6th… i would consider the D as the 9th and the A beside the G ( wich is the 5th) as the 6th….
I'm using the number 4 as I practice my scales and in songs. Number 5 was surprising and I can't wait to try it out on the piano.
Yay! Have fun!! :)
God bless you, your videos and your lessons are amazing
That was a great explanation. I have been told that practicing Arpeggios would improve my playing but I really didn't understand what they were talking about. I figured that something called an Arpeggio must be way above my head. Amazing and I'm calling for lessons right now.
I'm so glad this video helped you to understand arpeggios better. :) Which exercise is your favorite?
Your lessons ae very stimulating. I actually loved all 6 of the arpeggio's. I'm just looking for a keyboard before signing up with you. Bill
This video is what I will use to practice!
I know these exercises are important I just rather dive into famous POP songs! She is so right about doing these exercises! It is just my LAZY butt fighting with me! You’re so right, that’s why I started the video with discussing your mindset. You can do it!
It's great tutorials for beginners. You definately deserve more subscribers!
Thanks, Elena! I just started this month, so hopefully soon! Thanks for watching! 😊

Loved the wave
Great video but was a bit confused on exercise 5. It’s described as 6th but I thought that the notes added were 9th eg the D in the C arp but may be thinking about it the wrong way
That was definitely the 9. I think she misspoke.
I simply love you!

I enjoy the way you show how things are done on the keyboard, and having the over head view of the keyboard really makes it even easier to see what you are doing.
Why not include violin?
Nice tutorial. Just want to mention that the D note added at 11:45 is 2 or ninth and not sixth as the six would be A in C major.
Awesome 🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. U went too fast though on the wave part. Anyway nice building up to the last arpeggiio. Tnx a lot. U made it so easy to memorize. 🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Liked the 3rd because it was fun to play.
Thanks for sharing this video but it is very fast which is quite hard to follow. Could you do it lightly because I am a beginner in chords. Thanks.
Oh wow that is beautiful … it looks very 😂easy!!! I will try!!thank you very much!!
I love arpeggio #4
Obrigado. Porto Portugal
I studied music in the past, so my theory is okay, and I just wanted to learn piano techniques. These are exactly the kind of lessons I was looking for. Thank you, and keep up the amazing work. 😊
You are terrific!
What sheet music mentioned in Arpeggios 6ths.
Fantastic lesson, Beethoven rules 🌞🌻

Waving arpeggios,,, I like it👌
Nice imaging on the keys.
Thanks I learned more about piano from you
Many thanks for you
My favourite classical piano piece is Clair de Lune and my favourite contemporary piece is the main theme from _The Notebook._
Thank you! You explained very well❤
Благодаря Вашим видео учусь музыке и учу английский 🤦🏽♂️🙂
I need ur help! Im really falling in love with the arpeggio of the intro song of Canon . Idk whats the type of that arpeggio called . Can u help me out?
Great video for Beginners like me, thanks.
Enjoy!
Wonderful thanks
Out of the first three, the wave is my favorite one.
Sweet! Gonna practice this tonight when I get home from family night.
That is awesome! Which exercise did you find the most helpful?
Simple, but great lessons and exercises : )
Glad you like them!
Great video. I think on 12:00 you're adding a 9th, not a 6th. The 6th in C chord is A not D, D is the 9th.
Thank you for the sheet music. Much appreciated. Blessings
Enjoy!
You make it look so easy...i like yor style...
Very clear!
Easiest arpeggio? Mozart sonata number 16 in C major third movement? Or Moonlight sonata by Beethoven?
❤❤ love this..❤❤
Superb, Kaitlyn

EXCELENTE.GRACIAS
Do you use sustain petal when you do arppegeo excercises? wonderful tutorials, kate.
the sustain pedal can conceal wrong notes or sloppy rythm, therefore you shouldn't use it for practising
Not only this is an extreme useful lesson, you are really a beauty to practice with.
Ok, bought a piano, my favorite Arpeggio is the Wave!
Beautiful ! thanks a million
Thanks!
Thank you!! :)
Grat video. That's what I was looking for.
This is great I love it
Thank you!
Hi, parabéns pela aula. Amei. eu prefiro o arpegio num #4
Excellent
Thang you so much,,
Wait, I'm confused.... It looks to me like the added note in Arpeggio #5 is the *second* (or ninth), not the sixth. Am I missing something?
Either way, these are going to be great to practice.
You are correct! I realized that mistake after upload 🤦🏼♀️ Enjoy the arpeggios!!
Beautiful
