@@ut7746 yeah I guess I could agree. What makes herald so powerful isn’t really its effect, but the fact that it can be used so many times in one turn. It would be relatively difficult to summon otherwise, which means more materials/cards would have to be used to bring it out anyway, leading to less cards in hand. I’m ok with herald being able to negate more than once, since negates are common in a bunch of cards and decks. Negating like 2 or 3 times is balanced, but Drytron and some other decks have such an advantage since they’re able to continually add cards to their hand, allowing herald to negate everything for basically an entire turn. Pretty much every time I’ve had to deal with a herald, I’ve had at least like 5 things negated. That’s where the problem lies lol so I’m glad Eva was banned and hope it has an effect on the power of herald. It is my most treasured replay. I out combo'd his Herald. And won the game because he ran out of fairies in hand. Was with adamancipator prank kids deck.
Because it requires that the user send a Fairy from hand to GY and is a Ritual Monster to boot, which means you have to use a deck that uses Fairies in some way and make a Ritual-focused deck, rather than PoG which can be and would be used in any deck ever.
It is fair if it really hard to summon, that monster is level 12, the highest level in YGO, and the support for it only level 2 mostly, so it supposed to really hard to summon and it even need to discard specific type of card to negate. The drytrons who made this can be done easily, and eva😅 the amunition...
The problem here is Eva and benten. Benten made it easy to search, while Eva gave Drytron players straight + 6 in card advantage. So by discarding a card they gain 2 more cards for ammunition. Dumb i know. But thats just how powerful hand advantage is in YGO Herald without eva and benten is useless dead card that will never be summoned.
Herald is supposed to be balanced by the fact that he normally costs 12 levels worth of monsters that would be normally difficult to get on the field. Drytron enables you cheat him out from either the graveyard or hand just by using a single level one boi.
I am curious how could the opponent negate so many cards when he had 6 cards in hand and 4 monsters on the field at the start of the players turn and then have a full field of 6 monsters and 2 cards in hand by the end of the game? Did the opponent have ways to return fairy monsters from the graveyard to their hand or did the also get a Maxx C activation to draw cards when they let their opponent special summon a few cards and then have a way to remove them all or enough power to ko them with however many monsters they could attack directly with after destroying the monsters on the players field? The reason I don't understand how the opponent negated so many cards since in order to negate a summon or card effect they have to discard a fairy monster from their hand was there a monster on field that let them activate the Herald's effect with out discarding?
It pitches a Fairy from hand to use the negate. There's a Fairy monster called Eva that can search two Fairies from the deck when it goes to the graveyard, so one Eva in hand turns into three negates with Ultimateness.
@@nightwish7074 Yeah but at best he can have 6 or 7 negate with that, that's looked normal for the first turn but the second turn when he negated all the back row HOW?

that's why i only play gravekeeprs kaiju in plat. literally the krptonite to any meta deck. herald? lmao its now a turtle. rhongo with 7 materials? hhahaha also a turtle.
@@cointoss6238 you can't Kaiju Rhongo, Rhongo doesn't let you normal or special summon monsters, the only way to beat Rhongo is Nibiru in response to number 75 effect or impermanence to number 75, that way Rhongo won't have enough materials.
Herald can negate even if you chain a quick spell or trap to it (you can even see that in the video) The reason why droplet works is because if you send a monster to grave for droplet he cannot respond to it with any monster effect including herald.
I actually deck out someone using drytron because they made the mistake of playing a Maxx "C" before I started comboing, so all I did is pass and they lost.

All you simply have to do is either play Droplet or Dark Ruler to negate the entire board of monsters with negation effects, plus, they cannot chain anything as a response.
@@olmollmk6681 idk but 30 negates per turn it isn't
@@Order-Sol I feel like the issue with this solution is you have to be lucky to draw it in your starting hand to begin with, so basically it's like a 18% chance to have a chance, It sucks leaving your chance at winning or doing anything up to luck, it'd be cool if it was more of a strategic thing that you can control
@@squishysnail But you have to remember that either Droplet and Dark are all unlimited, meaning that there is somewhat a 30 or 50 chance that this will happen.

@@JulesPrime1999 Jep, drytron can play xyz with only few hits. Probably still at around 70% power.
Apparently herald is banned, drytron players can only play pure or use some shit ritual decks. Gotta love it has to be this way in the background
It's one thing to play a card, it's another to negate my entire game.
THE ONLY THING I KNOW FOR REAL is that if you had Dark Ruler No More in hand then THERE WILL BE BLOOD (BLOOD) SHED (SHED)!
I never understand why they think making a monster able to negate every effect like that is fair but pot of greed is still not even limited to 1
It's not the herald
Herald without fodder can't do shit
But thats just how powerful hand advantage is in YGO
Herald without eva and benten is useless dead card that will never be summoned.
Herald is supposed to be balanced by the fact that he normally costs 12 levels worth of monsters that would be normally difficult to get on the field.
Drytron enables you cheat him out from either the graveyard or hand just by using a single level one boi.
The kind of player who shares their food when they've cleared their plate.
Well i can say that i have been through this more than four times…btw respect for you putting a raiden vs armstrong meme at the end

Herald can negate even if you chain a quick spell or trap to it (you can even see that in the video)
