I personally love my bc coilovers and love this list I have all of these mods done to my car if anyone wants to check it out. Can’t wait on the fuel pump module vid
Definitely don't have to pull the motor for the rear cam chain and tensioner. Easiest and most stress free way to do the job is to just pull the cam girdle off (I guarantee you the bolt will strip), make sure motor is at tdc (via the front timing mark on the exhaust cam, put the gold link (on the timing chain) on the mark on the exhaust cam sprocket and count to the 18th and 19th link and mark and place on the indent on the intake cam. Reseal and reassemble and your golden. Definitely a more involved job that usually takes at least 6 hours and can easily go wrong for a newbie if you are rushing or don't have the right tools.
Hi congratulations about the channel and the usefull videos just subscribed. I have an Audi A4 B7 2.0 TFSi SE manual. Sometimes when i press the clutch on low rpm in changing first to second gear the car dips/kicks. Furthermore when getting the cruise control in standby mode ie when you can set a speed it gets in safe mode and check engine comes up. When i set off cruise control and restart the car the codes clear. I changed the clutch switch with no luck. Codes refer to gas pedal problem. Changed that as well but problems started again within 2-3 days
Hi thanks for the answer. Codes are P2138 and P1602. I have recalibrated the throttle body and gas pedal. Everything was fine for 2-3 days but codes came back. I also replaced the gas pedal which again was fine for 2-3 days
Early Vin takes one part number and Later Vin takes another part number. Its because a check valve changes location from the breather tube to the PCV (or vice versa, I don't remember), so if you order the wrong kind, you either get two check valves or NO check valves. In my experience, locating an OEM early vin (2005.5-2006ish?) PCV valve is far more costly than the Later vin part (2006ish+? I cannot recall the vin split). What you should do is: order both later vin part number breather tube (goes to turbo) and later vin part# PCV valve. And while your at it, esp if your valve cover is silver (which were prone to internal cracking), replace that too. Now all components or your PCV system are updated and clean and hopefully sludge free from the get go. If ya'll want the exact part numbers, I can dig that out, (and include a hack for a potentially cheaper OEM VC than the official listed compatible part by Audi), respond to this comment and I'll edit it later.
Wait. I thought the B7 2.0 has a timing belt, not chain and it's in the front of the engine.... I just Googled it and it says belt. There is also a video showing the belt in the front of the engine.
You are correct! The 2.0 has the belt in the front, but there is a chain on the rear. It’s hidden underneath some covers and requires a bit of disassembly to get there. Usually these things only need to be swapped out once
@@WerkstattCollective Okay, thanks for the info. I've just begun researching this car and had not yet heard of there being a chain in the rear. I'm actually considering buying one next month. I'm kind of torn right now between a B7 and a Mercedes w211 with all-wheel drive. The Audi obviously wins out in the fun department thanks to the manual and the tuning ability is a nice bonus. But the Mercedes seems to be more reliable. I'll just be going with the inline six with the Mercedes since this car is intended to primarily be a winter vehicle so performance isn't a huge concern. That said it would be nice to have a little fun with with the Audi so it does kind of tempt me.
I’m not educated on the Mercedes however I am a fan of them! If you haven’t already, join some of the Facebook groups to see how the community’s are. The b7 community is great just speaking from experience and people are very helpful, it is a smaller community but it seems to be slowly getting bigger. Feel free to reach out if you have questions :)
There are two versions of the 2.0 engine, one with belt and another with timing chain. You can tell the difference by looking at the front of the engine (just behind the radiator), the belt has a more angular cover and the chain has a more rounded cover.
car has been sold, have a new car that will be shown soon. The wheel specs on the b7 was 19x8.5 et 35 with 235 35 r19 tires. Bilstein coils and spc uppers to get the fitment right.
im having a issue with mine where once the engine warms up and the blow off valve engages (stopping at a light ext.) it will drop to 2lbs of boost until the engine cools back down Note: Already replaced the diverter valve and pcv valve
If you have a blow off valve that’s gonna be your issue. The car is designed to run on only a diverter valve that comes from factory. Having a blow off valve is gonna cause multiple issues with the car and cause it to have much worse performance.

Hey thanks!! Appreciate it! What is the code specifically? You man need to recalibrate throttle body. Easy and free to do

Dude, that AUDI bucket hat is FIRE. Where did you buy it???
Local Audi dealers sell them! I got mine from a friend as a gift
Can you by chance post the link to the Pcv valve I want to make sure I get the correct one
There are 2 versions of the pcv depending on if it’s an early or late model b7. I’d reach out to urotuning to confirm which one is right for you

I just bout a 08 a4 didn’t even have it for a week and it went into limp mode😢 so now I gotta wait to take it to Audi to get it diagnosed
Hope you get it back soon!
