You should plan out what you are going to say in advance, and maybe write a script and rehearse it so there aren't as many pauses. I really think you should let your kid experience public school for a few years. I know someone who was home-schooled her whole life by Christians and she's weird and brainwashed, and you shouldn't assume that you know all the answers either. If you share the responsibility of teaching then you don't have to try to be an expert at teaching everything. Kids need to learn from their community, and not just their parents, and resolving the differences between what they are taught is how they develop independent critical thinking.
