  • Spent some time sessioning one of my favorite technical sections at New Hogan - Nate's Trail. This short trail section features steep roll ins and tight turns but the main feature is a 4' drop to a solid transition. Check it out!

My old home turf! Miss riding up there. Nates trail still rips.

I have not been to Hogan in about 15 years to ride. Nice to see how the trails have evolved and been improved. Used have section that where nice single track and other section would have manzanita that had been cut off and left sticking out of the ground. Lots of tight technical sections. Thanks to whoever did all the work. Hope to get back and see how it's changed. I used to live in Glencoe on Hwy. 26

Sweet video! Glad to see people out enjoying my trail! Little bummed about the few reroutes that were made. It used to be a bit more technical, but guess some mellowing out was needed. The alternate name made me laugh out loud! I know of a few broken bones that happened on the steep rock steps into the right hander, that right hand turn was actually much tighter and required hopping up the about 2' high ledge and slamming on your brakes to make a tight awkward right handed switchback. The other reroute was the trail used to shoot you down right thru the dried up creek bed rather than those weird curvy turns at the bottom. I need to get back out there and play, it's been a few years.

Nate Spray thanks for taking time to watch and comment! The first time I dropped in on that trail I had no idea what to expect. The alternate name was spoken more than once. Ha! Definitely my favorite trail section at Hogan.

I've only rode out there one time and I made the mistake of doing in the summer. It looks so much better this time of year. Glad you were able to get back on the bike.

MTBing Adventures definitely the best in the cooler months - there are no trees out there for shade. Great trail system though. We’ve gotta connect again this spring for a ride somewhere!

Hey how’s it going great video brotha I’m new in town and was wondering where the best trail head is to get to the more techy trails. I’ve rode with my girl a few times on the flatter trails but I was looking for the chunkier stuff today and couldn’t seem to find the tail head over by oak knoll is what a local said but he didn’t seem very sure either

The trail head is a bit hidden. I park at Acorn (open year round) and ride through Oak Knoll camp ground which is closed in the winter. Check out the trail system in the Trail Forks app and you should be able to find it using the GPS on your phone. It is a bit of a maze so be patient and reference the app periodically. Have fun!
