Would have been nice if you had panned the audience once and a while.

I am regularly grateful to you for posting this kind of stuff but Andre seems to prefer more and more RNB influenced Zydeco. :-(
    Makes my ears sick.

This is a good friend of mine, please don't down other people's style of Zydeco. It would be boring if all Zydeco musicians played the same style!

Randall Jackson Your comment is quite strange in several ways.
First, why are you telling me that Andre is a good friend of yours? What impact should this information have on me other than to I see that you are prejudiced an therefore not neutral in your assessment?
Furthermore; I did not at all put down Andre, I just stated that I don't like this style of Zydeco. How boring is the typical American way for example at facebook that every event was a blast for them? That's not only boring, that's superficial as well.
Finally: Taste is a matter of taste and cannot be discussed, But artists need an open and sincere feedback of their audience and not only people who would only praise or flatter.

+Hans-Werner Link-Pack Zydeco has always had R&B influences. In Clifton Cheniers day, thats how he got his audiences attention becuase he made his music sound like the time era he was in. Now if you want old style lala listen to my good friend Cedric Watson, Geno Delafose. And you said "It makes my ears sick". Making it sound like his music is not good.

+Randall Jackson You don't seem to have a slight idea about harmonic chords and harmonies in music, this deficit leads to your bold statement that the music of Clifton Chenier was RNB influenced. Nonsense! The early RNB is not at all comparable with the one of nowadays and Geno is mainly an artist for the masses. Thank you for your advice but I don't need any hint from you and will stay with the melodic music of Chubby Carrier, Kevin Naquin, Leroy Thomas, Buckwheat Zydeco, Nathan Williams, Rosie Ledet , Lynn August Jeffery Broussard and so on, just to name some musicians of which I can hear every piece. You may enjoy André Thierry, Keith Frank, Leon Chavis, Lil Wayne and the likes; I did not say their music doesn't have quality, it is often just not melodic. Horrible like the RNB crap what is played nowadays in a lot of American radio stations.

sir, I'm a Jazz studies major concentrated on bass and keys. I have played on the contemporary gospel circuit, Jazz circuit, Neo-Soul circuit, Zydeco circuit of course, use to play keys at The Blues Palace in Dallas, I've played on the reggae circuit, and played behind major artist such as Roy Hargrove, Tom Braxton, Don Diego, and some others that I can't name at the moment. So I know melodic on another level that you might not comprehend........ I guess haven't heard Kem, Lala Hathaway, and Jill Scott. You can't be melodic with 1,4, and 5 all day with dominant chords. See how Buckwheat is????
