Thank you very much! I probably won't be doing a review of the 4K because I just can't put my stamp of approval on it. I've tested it out and sold some as well and my customer feedback hasn't been great either. I wanted to like it but until ATN can fix their extreme customer service issues I just can't get behind it. I hate it because the scope does have some potential.

Geez it would take a backpack full of batteries to hunt with it often. That's the only thing I dont like about them. I'm just gonna keep waiting and go for thermal when they drop. Battery isn't everything to me but it is prob the second most important thing to me
In your opinion are these night vision scopes ok for your eyes, can they damage your eyesight.
We've been using these type of optics nearly 7 days a week for close to 10 years and we've experienced no issues at all. It's also worth noting the Photons were discontinued several years ago and have been replaced by the Sightmark Wraiths. You can check them out at www.outdoorlegacygear.com
When using an external battery pack does the scope automatically function from the battery pack 1st or the Double A's?

Can this scope be used during the day
My understanding is the XT has 4 hr battery life vs 1.5 hr with RT. But the XT is limited to 115ish on visibility.
Trying to decide on a XT with an aftermarket light or the new RT.
Thoughts?
The Photon XT has been discontinued since December of 2017. The Photon RT is still available for this fall but all indicators point towards it being discontinued in the coming months and replaced with a new model for 2020.
The RT is a very nice upgrade to the XT and I would suggest the RT, especially since the XT was released in 2014 and is now several years old. The RT has several upgraded features and also allows for the use of any USB battery pack for external power. I would also suggest the Sightmark Wraith HD as the over all better optic compared to the Photon RT.
