Hi there! My Grandpa taught me how to make compost tea, he called it Liquid Gold. He was a WW1 veteran and always had the most amazing garden. His method was much the same but he would put a tight lid on the 5gal. bucket set it in the sunshine, and he had a hose-sized hole drilled in the lid so he could refill it as needed without us kids playing in it. I remember he used to joke that as a young man, he'd just pick the bucket right up and water right through that hole but as a 90-year-old man he kept it in a wagon and used a large ladle to dish it out.
