Are you fully remote? About to be a new grad SWE, have offers from both fully remote & hybrid work, but I'm a little scared of fully remote. Do you have any thoughts?
Yayy congratulations on getting the offers especially in this tough market!! 🥳🥳 yes, I am fully remote and loving it. I don’t think I want to go back in the office anytime soon. But that may just be a personal preference. It really depends on what you want. And there’s a lot of factors. For example, if you want to make friends and more connections, I think it’s great to go into the office. But if you don’t care too much about that, remote is probably the best choice. You can save so much time by not commuting, prepping lunch, etc. If you’re worried about career growth and learning opportunities, I don’t think it would be a problem. I’m sure your team will schedule daily/weekly Zoom meetings for ramping up or just answering questions. It’s just my thoughts, but lmk if you have any other questions 😊
off topic but can I ask you where did you apply , were any of the offers international ? lastly what country is this bec im hearing from everybody the tech industry rn makes it hard to land a job so Congraatss , sorry for the many questionss
